That would be a great move. Selling it to us at a discount would have the same effect. At today's prices I doubt they could give it away at the wellhead and have it arrive in US at marketable prices.

Have you ever seen "When Harry met Sally?" Billy Crystal explains that very question for all of us. Well not all of us I guess, hence the thread topic. -

looking for camera training in LODI - Att: exp Lodi Camera jumpers
Andrewwhyte replied to traker's topic in Instructors
Cheap jumps is my guess. It's interesting, however, that Bill Dause's last plane to crash (due to poor MX) happened in Canada, but then this guy will leave Canada and go striaght to the location of Bill's other poorly maintained planes. You know Canada is a big place right? Actually according to google, Toronto is about 100 miles closer to Lodi than Pitt Meadows. But you're right, he is going for the cheap jump tickets. and the base jumping, and the weather. -

Need Packing class in Southeastern Mass.
Andrewwhyte replied to Tebuck's topic in Safety and Training
Remember this guy traveled to Florida, gave DZs there all his training dough, and now wants to learn to pack because apparently packing isn't part of their program. Yes he should pay to learn, or go to his instructors in Florida and ask them. -
Skydiving, speedflying, windtunnel and freebase.

I thought freebase was a way of doing cocaine. -
I once had a tandem mal that was controllable and square. It wanted to turn, but was easily kept straight. The flare was a bit tough but do-able. I thought about keeping it for about 2 seconds until I realised that I was doing a tandem and didn't have the luxury of making that call. If I had been alone I would have landed it. But I wasn't alone, my tolerance for risk was lowered. I chopped. A candidate who lands a canopy with 4 blown cells should fail. He either has deficient awareness or deficient judgement.

New edition of 'Huckleberry Finn' to lose the 'n' word
Andrewwhyte replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Darn right John. On another note, My high school English teacher once told me that there is a version of Shakespeare's works that were modified to remove all the dirty, sinful jokes. I wonder if anyone knows where I can get a copy. I want to take it, redo the Merchant of Venice to remove all traces of antisemitism, and get my local school board to start using it exclusively. Someone has to think of the children. -

Wait 'till the stuff with the Emu comes out. -
This is a great example of the old adage that 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.' A bank making a loan is indeed an example of money (within some, but not all, definitions) being created. the money the banker loaned did in fact exist in someone's bank account, but since it now exists in that persons account as well as yours, new money has been created. Another example of money being created (within a more restricted definition of the term) would be the DZO letting you jump on credit for a couple of weeks. This, however is not what is meant by 'growing the economy.' The economy grows by increasing the production of goods and services. This growth may be accomplished as a result of the false demand produced by those living on credit, but nonetheless it is still based on production.

The price of natural gas in North America is not expected to rise significantly in the near future. "Shale cracking" technology has opened up massive amounts of gas in the continental US very close to markets. Many people in Alberta found themselves locked into long-term contracts during declining prices after deregulation, but 6 month terms are hardly long term. However, seeing as you are talking about a less than 5% savings you need to do your homework about whether your current, prospective, or other local providers charge significant connection fees that will swamp any savings you might gain if you find you need to switch again. Perhaps you should start by calling your current provider and asking them for a better deal; it often works for phone providers.

Any legal beagles out there explain how he managed that wrt term limits?

How Many American Christians Are Really Atheist?
Andrewwhyte replied to skyrider's topic in Speakers Corner
If neither the Catholics nor the Anglican Communion are Christian then Christianity is not a major religion. What makes someone a Christian is of course a matter of debate, but belief in the tenants laid out in the Nicene Creed are one such definition. By the way the Lutherans also profess the creed. A bit ironic given your little rant about the protestations of Luther. Apparently you didn't read my whole post. I believe in none of the tenants of the creed. -
Rational behavior is used because it is believed to be an unbiased rather than accurate estimator of agent behavior. But I suspect you already knew that Doc.

How Many American Christians Are Really Atheist?
Andrewwhyte replied to skyrider's topic in Speakers Corner
It is an interesting topic but I think the question should be how many professed Christians are Atheist? The answer to your question as written is zero. As for your friend I have to agree with Rstanley0312, he is not a Christian. I have a fairly in depth exposure to both the Roman Catholic and Anglican (Episcopalian) branches. if I am not mistaken they are the two largest mainstream sects of Christianity. They both adhere to the Nicene Creed. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth, of things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the begotten of God the Father, the Only-begotten, that is of the essence of the Father. God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten and not made; of the very same nature of the Father, by Whom all things came into being, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. Who for us humanity and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate, was made human, was born perfectly of the holy virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. By whom He took body, soul, and mind, and everything that is in man, truly and not in semblance. He suffered, was crucified, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven with the same body, [and] sat at the right hand of the Father. He is to come with the same body and with the glory of the Father, to judge the living and the dead; of His kingdom there is no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, in the uncreated and the perfect; Who spoke through the Law, prophets, and Gospels; Who came down upon the Jordan, preached through the apostles, and lived in the saints. We believe also in only One, Universal, Apostolic, and [Holy] Church; in one baptism in repentance, for the remission, and forgiveness of sins; and in the resurrection of the dead, in the everlasting judgement of souls and bodies, and the Kingdom of Heaven and in the everlasting life. Either you believe that or you don't. When I was a Christian I believed it all. -
I'm beginning to re-think my views on taxation.
Andrewwhyte replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
If in the PLACE OF the current tax, I would consider it. If in addition to the current tax, then no. The total amount taxed/spent by the government sector should be a different discussion than the technical one of how to raise the money. Sadly that never turns out to be the case. The pols will never let an opportunity to increase the take go by. -
I'm beginning to re-think my views on taxation.
Andrewwhyte replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
A value added tax on absolutely everything is the way to go. Everyone pays. If people feel that the poor cannot make it they can be subsidised by direct means, but the blanket VAT causes the least distortion to the economy and ensures no-one escapes. -
