    Bullshit! Mandatoryhelmets were,...1979 draft? Maybe. The Boston Bruins made helmets mandatory for defensemen in 1970 after the near death of Ted Green in an argument with Wayne Maki's stick. After a few practices Bobby Orr hurled his off the ice and announced that he would not wear it. So much for that rule. Green returned to the Bruins for the 1970-71, and 71-72 seasons and wore a helmet for the rest of his career. In 1973 Borje Salming became one of the first 'sissified' European players in the NHL. They all wore helmets. Mike Bossy became perhaps the first Don Cherry approved (North American born) players to wear a helmet starting in the 1977-78 season. Mr. Bossy was not a sissy.

    Huh??? When I was growing up it was no meat on any Friday and no meat at all during Lent. Every restaurant in town had fish for the special on Friday. Fortunately we weren't catholic.

    You have a degree?!! Get thee to a passport office. Start with an Australian working vacation visa. Spend the next three or four years traveling the world. You will quickly learn that having that useless degree makes it a)easier to get a job, and b) infinitely easier to get a work visa. When you get back to America you will find employers will value both your formal as well as your worldly education.

    Rule #1. UPS are shit for international shipping; they will fuck you in the ass with brokerage fees. I tend to prefer the post office. If the products are American there will be no duties going south. If you return it make sure you mark it as a product return. If he keeps his originalshipping reciept it should be all good.

    Ken Broach and some others have set it up for the purpose of contesting the British military's Adventurous training contract. Ken has visited Nethers recently in preparation. The old DZ does not have a paved runway as stipulated in the contract, so they will have to use the municipal runway. I'll believe it when I see an aircraft take off.
