Four million Americans fall into poverty in one year
loumeinhart replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
I would like to know the stats on how many 'impoverished' have mobile telephones, xbox, air conditioning, transportation, cable tv, jewelry, and ipods.. Funny that at one time the above luxuries were only for the super rich. -
Don't forget Frank Russo. Akron's Beacon Journal front page was workers removing his name from the wall. NEO has been under dem control for a long time. Frank Jackson is a joke and city of Cleveland can do nothing to keep hemorrhaging businesses and people. Dan Gilbert has a casino on the way +jobs/infrastructure. I believe he (representing the private sector) has some faith in the local economy/people of NEO.

interesting. Also found this on wikipedia: In the United States, the obligation is in Article 2, Section 315 of the Uniform Commercial Code. The warranty of fitness differs from a warranty of merchantability in that it applies to all sellers, not only professional merchants. In the United States, this warranty is sometimes referred to simply as a warranty of fitness.

Got it. I'm not around here enough..

That's when the half-chewed oatbran came out of my mouth

I worked p/t Sears Hardware in HS. Old nutty lady walked up to counter and slammed down what appeared to be an old electric drill, I wasn't sure. She pointed to it and said [raspy] "this thang don't work!" [/raspy]. I got my manager and within 3 minutes the customer left with a new craftsman 15v cordless... LOL. My manager explained to me that the store lost a pittance on that drill compared to even one customer's negative perception over time.

Searched high and low, I hope this isn't a repost. I spit cereal onto my gf's macbook laughing at this guy from my home, Stark County.

awseome, this thread dissolved into a puddle of lib vs cons spew in 8 posts. Walmart isn't required (to the best of my knowledge) to accept any returns ever. Not only do they accept returns, they have one of the most liberal return policies anywhere. They do so because they have decided it's good business policy.
-
I'm not sure I really agree with that.

1. a thread already exists 2. you have to provide an example of how a local/state/federal govt asked the preacher to not burn the q. (I've been missing the news) 3. it's complex. I happen to believe that we are 'better' than 'them'. We are above setting fire to books. Then again our rights are protected, remember the American flag has been burnt, shit on, spit on, torn, and hung upside down right here in the U.S.

triangle shirtwaist 1911 With current markets and the complexity of global business, I think unions today are useless and have a negative effect on production. But the the Shirtwaist Fire of 1911 is an example of the Unions (govt) role pre WW2

Agreed. I was thinking to myself about the media's role in this. The fiscally conservative side of me realizes that the 'media' is a business and "if it bleeds..it leads." The other side of me would realize that media would have maybe a responsibility to the public and choose not to air something so inflammatory. The later is pretty bogus though.. thoughts?

That's exactly what I think. And even if a signed waiver was required for cosumption.,.. then what the hell am I eating?? lol. btw their 500k sco wing sauce is not that hot.
-
That is so ignorant
-
A popular wing joint has a 'waiver' for their 500,000 scoville triple atomic wings. I always politely refuse the waiver while I order and have never signed it. This makes me believe it's simply for shock value. I mean they still bring me the deadly hot wings. Also, wouldn't a food establishment be stupid to even serve an item on their menu that required a waiver?? So l believe the "waiver" is just for show. An real legal expertise? lawrocket?

lol, everyone knows bankers are evil!! I once heard something called a forebearance agreement? I think it's when they take your arrearages and spread it out over several months..but they are in addition to your regular monthly payment. I thnk the mortgage instrument doesn't alow the bank to "re-age" your balance, so you are "delinquent" until you catch up in full. I seen investors purchase property from a foreclosing bank then rent/lease option the property back to the original homeowner. This is pretty tough because the homeowner's credit is usually damaged. Skyrider is right, the bank wants their money plus interest.

Death panels, granny killings and now headless bodies....
loumeinhart replied to Lucky...'s topic in Speakers Corner
Yep. Just like when Nancy Pelosi lied about 500 million Americans losing their jobs. The LW will stop at nothing to scare you into a vote for them. Funny and yet pathetic. -
Hat to say it (a poor shmuck like me) but the bank ownes your house until you have paid them in full.

Watching my upbringing beliefs deteriorate into something that is different is weird but I'll accept big boobs from chicks... new religions? not sure yet..
-
Hate to be the asshole here but dig out your papers..
-
And someone is forcing you to read it. You could always just turn your computer off
-
Actually, I'm going to do some research on beheadings/religion and post them in S/C. I plan to collect beheading data from the past 10 yrs and post the results..Be patient as I would like to be as accurate as possible!
