>Correct. The appellate court that claimed that marks were OK was in Texas not following, did you you take that from the Opinion I posted or something else? I acknowledge that the Opinion states that there were no marks vsible on the actual photograph presented as evidence..

I'll clarify: in 2008 the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that spanking a child is legal and does not constitute abuse. The ruling stated that "We are unwilling to establish a bright-line rule that the infliction of any pain constitutes either physical injury or physical abuse, because to do so would effectively prohibit all corporal punishment of children by their parents" and "it is clear to us that the Legislature did not intend to ban corporal punishment". The case involved a man who had spanked his 12-year-old son 36 times with a maple paddle and who was declared innocent by the Minnesota Supreme Court. from wiki Opinon THe opinion also states there were no marks.

And how is that relevant unless you are accusing one ofus to be a Xenophobic Conservative? Conservatives see plenty of fault here. So do liberals. I'd like to see where 2000 kids are beaten to death by their parents/year. Because I've been watching cnn and msnbc for 5 years now and the latest crisis among many is the "Bullying Epidemic". Apparantly the mod's have an updated google.com because I can't find a source for 2000 kids beat to death by their parents/year in the US.

I just love ths mentality. It's as if the 'average' people are just helpless fcking dying birds sitting around waiting to be fed. -
Kudos to anyone that can write jokes. I always hear awesome jokes at the dz and think "that's so awesome why didn't I think of that??!"

Wow these are some awesome promises. hire 100,000 fed employees with disabilities appoint a special Advisor to the President on violence against women provide affordable high-quality childcare I can't keep looking, I'm going to vomit thinking about what my taxes are being spent on. And they're asking for more...
-
Perhaps that's true, I haven't been to the White House lately. Maybe conservatives don't picket because they are working at their jobs or realize that voting, not picketing, changes policy.
-
I really don't care what people watch. Most of my liberal friends don't stay current with legislation/policies/elections/ and most of my conservative friends do.
-
My point was that many people whos viewpoints are aligned with those expressed on msnbc (social programs/big gov/handouts) are watching Jersey Shore and CSI. People with an opposing viewpoint (small govt/lower tax/free market) are more tuned-in and engaged to day-to-day politics. And Fox happens to be the network that is aligned with their thinking.
-
I happen to like/dislike certain programs from both networks. I have wondered why Fox is still #1 even when a majority elected democrat potus/house/senate has been in power. A friend of mine has a theory that most conservatives watch Fox to stay engaged and informed. Most liberals watch Dancing w/ Stars, Tosh.O, and MTV..

Seriously I was feeling some fritos or maybe some new 'healthy' chips that come in the recycled bags. ... It's like $3.99 or more for 9oz net weight of food?? Why is there such a premium on chips? Do they really cost that much to make?

Again You said in the above post that the elite control the market. I am the market because I buy. So tell me how the elite controls what I buy. Thanks -

So how would the 'elite' control which cell phone service I choose? Or which house I buy? I find your statement funny because it inferers that the 'elite' control my decision as a consumer. -
Hey Lucky, what is the most money that any one person should be allowed to earn and keep for themselves? (in the US)

1. WW2 brought the US out of the Great Depression 2. Obama does not 'have' to fix the 'mortgage meltdown'. Without even scraping the surface of andrew Cuomo's infulence on FHA under Clinton to pressure banks to make 'subprime' loans to less-than qualified borrowers.. I simply argue that potus shouldn't have a role in interfering with business between borrower and lender. I do understand that there is a necessary level of regulation that is in place for financial institutions but it's not any president's job to 'fix mortgages.'
