  1. wow, kids are like sponges they emmulate everything his dad must be proud.... :)
  2. this one time, at band camp...... AB AB AB
  3. I think the only additional toll would be the havre de grace bridge and the delaware river bridge, but yeah that does add up. all those fast planes -- it is tough to handle
  4. Cross Keys is about the same distance cause you dont' have to go around the bay... just something to keep in mind
  5. not hard at all to do a pin check in a 182, for jump run everyone is looking forward so the three (or 4 depending on configuration) are easy access, the one in the back, either turns sideways a bit, or leans over, not hard at all really, just protect your handles on climb out, much more to snag on in a 182.
  6. this would definately stop some traffic....
  7. Cross keys is having beach jumps (3 full days into Wildwood), but you need to pre-register....
  8. when I was looking for a potenial team rig, I had a long list of what I consider to be the "little things", of course being fairly detailed oriented helps. But everything lead to two different containers, I chose the Mirage because, in the end, their delivery times were the best. So, our team rigs became Mirage, and we couldn't be happier (800 or so jumps later on them).
  9. if you don't put a stop on your turns momentum will continue to take you away from the center. you need to put jsut as much energy into the stop as the start of the turn.
  10. sometimes we get a chance to talk about landing directions though
  11. In actuality, going to a cat is a forward move anyway, not a center point turn. doing a center point turn leaves your legs to close to the other person, like a donut build, you need to move forward into it. (nut not overly so)
  12. so do ya still want to jump IN a thunderstorm (not you in particular, you in gerneral)????
  13. that would suck.... lawyer Steve (at the Ranch) cut away a vengance on jump #1.... never found it.
  14. hopefully the wink at the end of his post meant he was kidding, but that is a spinning mal waiting to happen!
  15. basically it's worth whatever someone will pay for it. price it as you see fair, and if others find that fair, you'll sell it. if not, you'll have to lower the price. what is this little icon thing supposed to be?

    Fluffers

http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/sociology/TeamEthno/wavs/gerbil.wav? Ok, so I didn't know what it was, and did a look up, and came across this it is pretty funny (I had read it before, but this guy is funny reading it)
  18. A friend of mine got lost, and was literally driving 100 mph everywhere hoping to get pulled over so he could ask directions (it was really late at night and seemed like a good idea).... I guess the white house would be a good landmark and a couple of f-16's guiding you would be a similar thing....
  19. thing is, these guys have been around a while. They should have definately known better.

nope, no plans on going up there, we'll be on I-drive all day.
  21. and ants, dont' forget the ants. Ants are attracted to low level energy sources for some reason (think cypres battery). they get inside the rig and die, then become acidic. Not a good situation really. Didn't happen to me, but a rigger relayed the story.
  22. I'm sure everyone has heard (in the US anyway) about the cessna cruising through VERY restricted airspace. Well, it turns out that plane was purchased by a guy I know and it was headed for Raeford to get the work done to convert it to a jump plane. The DZO is getting a ton of free publicity over this. Of course the 2 guys flying the plane aren't fairing so well right now. How weird is that.

Blame it on Vmax, yeah that's it, that's the ticket it's all their fault, I bet as soon as they head back to the UK it will be sunny again!
  25. ahhh, I see. It seemed that all the reviews saying "best openings ever, best swoop, most powerful, etc" had to be taken in context of a swoop machine not an everyday driver.
