my brother sent this to me, I laughed, but I could use a cold one about now!

bear in mind that is for "block time" not when you would jump in there with a class (no pun intended)... that is priced differently, but it's easy to get people to split a half an hour with....

speaking of Maggott.. (ok that was a different thread). you should get him to show you his canopy collision with a fill in videographer. Pretty wild. shreaded a colbat and an alpha pretty good I believe. the camera guy is under his reserve and catches Maggots reserve deployment, then a shoe goes wizzing by.
-
send me one too?
-
he's definately one of a kind...

Swoop Noodles, what's your thoughts? Good idea/bad idea?

they've got them in wal-mart here in FL.... -
I went from a giant 7 cell OLD gutter gear canopy to a brand spankng new sabre (years ago -- rev. 1) the canopy was much better to fly thats for sure (new one), openings could be brisk though. I then went to a safire, crossfire and now velocity (with te odd Colbalt, monarch and stilletto thrown in there)(in the span of 1,000 jumps) the velocity opens nice, not to hard, but likes to hunt, the crossfire was sssslllooowwww, but mostly always on heading, and the safire good all around soft opening canopy. Don't worry, z-po is much better than regular ol' 0-3cfm fabric. a little longer opening sequence, but your neck and back will thank you. you can tell when a canopy is opening well and when there is an issue as you get more experience, that's another reason to wait a while before downsizing as things turn/spin and get out of control faster on a highly loaded canopy

there was also a swoop lane set up at DeLand using those flags that you can put on the back of bikes, although they're fiberglass (about 1/4" diameter or so) and may leave a mark (they were on little stakes and moved pretty freely however) -
that's the crazy thing about tandems. the reserves are typically the same as the main
-
but how do you quantify that? I've been doing 4way since around the 350 jump mark... what happens if someone has been doing birdman suit jumps for 500 jumps, then does 4way, how do you judge the qualifications? what about tunnel time? the tunnel rats won a gold withas littel as 75 jumps... no way is there a magical formula.

why is it not ethical if its not against the rules? why not increase your learning curve, hire a player coach and go for it?
-
that's cause you haven't been IN a formation this year
-
that's not true really -- people may consider any world class skydiver a ringer even if they are eligible. that's what has some people out of sorts (not directed at anyone in particular).
-
yeah, mine was too oh well....

I know Ray, I wasn't going after you at all, shoot, you were sitting right behind me and I didn't even hear you say anything. I was just waiting till 11 grand so those other two would shut up
-
yes you got it right, but there also was some language in there about the length of time one needed to have that resident status in the US also, not sure if that was changed recently or not.
-
LOL ---- that is funny @ Ray
-
Ray's point is do you have that "coach" jump with you on your team ala Dr. Joel and some other teams there was the "does MJ play on lower level B-ball teams, etc" the argument I think is about competitive advantage, and whether some people are "buying" a medal (or at least the perception of buying it). It is true you can only go as fast as your slowest person, so in one case it really doesn't matter, but a coach will definately bring the playing level of the whole team up a notch.

wow!!!! that's all I have to say about that x-ray. Dove has a good one too, but that one is serious -- ever see Dead Mike's x-ray's?
