1. you only need a "D" liscense to compete in open, all the others classes you just need to be a member in good standing, apparently that rules out Ben Rayner now, but other than that -- get a team together!
2. well, laslo is running the campus there, but I wonder if it's the same guy who used to coach in DeLand a few years ago. He wrote a book too, I think.
3. whos gonna be there, how much time do you have and what is the flight time?
4. looks like triple risers
5. I've got two -- one at 1.83 and one at 2. or so. from what I've gathered flying them both and talking to a couple of the factory boys, the velcity really likes right around 2. I noticed the front riser pressure lower on teh higher loaded canopy and Heath told me to expect that when I got it. So Id stick to the 2.0 if I were in your shoes (cause I was and did
6. OK here's one: skydive U coach in loading area to student "can I get a pin check?", student "sure" student hands coach the shinny pin as if to say, here it is.... coach recloses rig in loading area. was pretty funny
7. hey, I'll be there of course you already knew that
8. who the heck was that......??? Emmitt? that's too funny. oh speaking of helmets, anyone seen the pic of Stacy's first jump?
9. how can white fade? actually it shows the dirt quicker, not such an issue in eastern US, but the desert areas make the white, an off-white quickly. now, there are some orange canopies I've seen fad very quickly in the sun.

oops 9000 pounds, for some reason I read gallons. that's still a heck of a lot of fuel.
11. I've got a 111 and a 120 -- interestingly enough when I packed the 111 up right after I got it, it was the best opening I've ever had on any canopy. Of course, I haven't been able to duplicate that. I mostly use packers (team training, no time), and they do a pretty good job, anyway, I pack it symetrical, and quarter the slider, I do not try to rear riser and steer on opening, that's the coaching I got from the PD sponsored boys, works for me. I get pretty consistent openings, whatever you do keep everything the same on either side of the line sets!

9000 gallons of fuel for one jump.... wow
13. you might be confusing a bag lock with a PC in tow a bag lock will be over your head and chances are you'll be standing up cause the drag on the PC will slow you down enough to do that, if/when you cut away, you'll probably do some sort of flip. this is the kind of mal you cut away from. the other, more scary situation is a horseshoe (which a bag lock may be part of) that's what you may be thinking of.
14. I dont' doubt that, but what kind of damage are you doing to said center cell? your grear, your choice.
15. are you bringing that with you? and if so, better check it!
16. I believe the manual says NOT to tuck the nose into the center cell, it does say roll the nose though. make sure to keep the slider up against the stops at all times and quarter the bugger so the slider catches air first, that and get a good massuse
17. why? when yo uget a re-pack it doesn't include a main inspection, if you want that, it is more $$. Rob actaully does more than most it sounds like.
18. don't break? wanna bet, depends on who's running the gates. I've sheared a couple off, and I've chased them down the hill after some pros got done playing on a course. If I run a slalom, or a tight GS I get bruises on my forearms, heavy plastic gates can hurt! but you can by the break away bases and put something else on them http://www.slalompoles.com/ there you go....
19. I do, i've seen plenty of landings like that no problem.
20. http://home.pacbell.net/diana_do/knowjack.htm
21. remember all the plastic guards you also wore when deflecting those gates? not to mention that if you were cross blocking, your pole took most of the impact (slalom). wack one of those gates straight on and it will leave quite a mark, not to mention the fact that they are pretty expensive.
22. Get Smart rocks.... what was the space show that came out right around Star Wars first premiered? galactica something or other? the opening sceen was the space craft leaving teh mother ship through the "runway".... anyone?
23. its really not complex, you book the tunnel in the evening from 6-7 pm, it will cost you $600, you can bring in other people to share that hour (i've done 40 minutes out of 60 and it is very tiring), and of course the expense. its very easy.
24. wow, how much did you pay that guy to do THAT!?
