How many people have gone in with a unpacked parachute still in the container trying to land a malfunctioning one versus a reserve malfunction? A Tandem pulls as 5500 how low would be low? 4? Cypress fires at 2500 on a tandem right? So just how low would be low to chop? Now if he did pull that low and ended up with that and not being able to chop he should still hand over his rating as he has no business taking someone else's life in his hands. I cannot think of one reasonable excuse to be in that position unless it was a low bail out and they direct deployed at 1500 even then how low is to low to chop a tandem? I would hope they would make it out of plexi not glass. Sounds reasonable...as long as Dave includes me on the jump seriously this should be an easy (realitivly speaking) jump. I would think making a couple balls and letting them burn in would be cheaper and easier then trying to put an add and a drouge inside one. I was glad to see he was all right in the end. Then you really haven't made a decision. Second guessing yourself like that turns 1500 into 1300 into 1000 then dead.... (Not directed towards anyone in particular just my feelings) I decided when I hit 500 jumps that I was not the one I would want saving my kids life if shit hit the fan. I want some 20 something, fit, on top of his game stud being there not some beat up old man. I say that because being a coach,AFFI,TI is a tremendous responsibillty not some ego feeding cash cow that lets you rack up the numbers and they (ratings) should be treated as such IMO
