  1. I saw that thread. Just wanted clarification. Don't remember seeing that the psycho lady was a dancer. But hey, who can keep track of all the information passing through these halls of cyber space?
  2. Flat out madly loving the one I am with and do not want anyone else.
  3. You knw? I am glad I am not the only person bothered by this. It seems that common courtesy has truely gone the way of fins on cars. I won't even start my Harley until after 11 on a Sunday. The thing is beyond the legal noise limit, I am certain. Monday through Saturday, fair game, but Sunday I allow everyone a day from the noise till brunch. I never run my lawnmower on Sunday (ar any other noisy tool) because I know that people tend to use that as their relax day and do not really want to hear it. But even if I did have to I would not start the mower till at the earliest 9. The only reason I would even do it that early is to beat the miday heat. Eight o'clock is definitely too early for any of that on a Sunday.
  4. Hard to answer this question because I am not sure whether you are saying A.) What is wrong with me that I threw the number of a nimble, hot, flexible girl, who digs me, away? or B.) What is wrong with me that I keep going for these women who are good looking but have none of the mental attributes I enjoy like intelligence, humor and most importantly, sanity? Until I know A or B I cannot help you.
  5. What is it about farting and skydiving? I have been on very few loads where someone did not let one go. Does it have anything to do with the decreasing pressure at altitude? The S&TA actually said "That was very unfreindly" one time. It was hysterical. The only part that sucked is that it always came from an area around me. She blamed me! I was not happy. Nothing like getting blamed for someone elses funk. I have it narrowed down to two individuals and one day I will get even.
  6. I love my hornet. The only things I do not like is that it is so damn big, makes packing a chore, and that it sometimes has hard enough opening that I have bit clean through my tongue.. Things I like about it, it is so damn big I feel comfortable with it, yet responsive enough that I have a blast flying it. I love the color coded risers, and I love the way it flies. More than enough performance for me to enjoy for a very long time. I would have bought a second one if I could have gotten it new in the colors I wanted. But since I could not, I bought a Pilot 210 for my second canopy. I have a friend who has a 210 Hornet. Pretty sure she likes it too.
  7. Bonehead Havoc. Fits like a glove, has two audible compartments and is the only full face I found that comfortably fits over my glasses. As an added bonus, the whole face lifts up rather than just the visor, which means I can put in on and take it off without removing my glasses. Plus it is kinda scary looking.
  8. Hell I hate to say it but the McGregor's will smash the MacGregors and the Grants. Of course I have to admit that we muddled our blood with the damn Grants and things ain't been the same since.
  9. Well as a newbie, I have Freeflying and RW as my disciplines. This is because I have done a couple as in exactly 2, of each kind of jump and liked them both. Secondly, I am aspiring to improve in both. I eventually WANT to do swooping and birdman, but since I have about 467 jumpsto go before I will even be allowed to consider them, well why bother putting them on my profile? So RW and Freefly it is, and hey, I am with that. More than enough fun to be had in those two categories.
  10. Ah but you see, that is the point! This is a dixie country and you yanks can't seem to realize that. See? We won! The whole country has been southernized! Hell, it always has been. Sing with me folks! I wish I was in the land of cotton, Old times there are not forgotten. Look away, Look away Dixie Land. Then I wish I was in Dixie Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land I'll take my stand To live and die in Dixie, Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie. Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie. In Dixie Land Where I was born in, Early on on frosty mornin'. Look away, Look away Dixie Land. Then I wish I was in Dixie Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land I'll take my stand To live and die in Dixie, Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie. Away, Away, Away down south in Dixie.
  11. LMFAO! "100% (Dixie). Is General Lee your father?" No but I sure can drive her! hehehe My Grandma (She was a yankee) always said I was half Yank and well to bad she ain't alive to see this!
  12. DAMNIT! DAMNIT! DAMNIT! DAMNIT! DAMNIT! DAMNIT! After a week of flat out beautiful weather we get hosed! The ground was just starting to dry out in some places! I FUCKING HATE OHIO!
  13. Yes, mine sits in a riggers loft without a main. I know it is homesick and wants to come play at it's new home but, sometimes things take longer than we hope. Poor rig . . . all alone . . . soon you'll be home . . . then I can sit and stare at you and tell you stories and we can practice packing and I can take pictures of you and post your pretty face all over DZ.com for people to admire. How soon? Very soon. I hope.
  14. Yes, you really have to have the time and money to care for them properly. Not a Dog for busy people. Of course no dogs are really. They are social and NEED play and attention. But some breeds require more than others.
  15. I agree. A tip is "Hey great service. Thanks for being so attentive. Here's something extra to show my gratitude (hence gratuity)." Poor service does not deserve a tip. If you are a server and you know you need your tips to live then you better earn it. I have been known to actually leave this for a tip. "Here's a tip - Server who gives poor service, goes home with empty pockets." But you have to be REALLY bad to get that. My rule of thumb is 10% for okay service, 15% for good service, 20% for great service, and whatever I can comeup with for Superior service. I took my wife to a place where our meal cost 75 bucks for just us and the server was so damn good I was speechless. I tipped the exact amount of the bill. The server never would have gotten that if the gratuity had already been included on the check.
  16. Color me stupid, but I do not get the job posting. I get the other obvious smartass link, but the first one escapes me.
  17. Holy smokes! The one I bought looks EXACTLY like that one. That would not happen to be a 230 would it?
  18. I cannot imagine that this is normal for DZ's. I read the waiver at the only two Dropzones I jumped at and I honestly do not remember anything to the effect of "We can be entirely irresponsible with your life and if you get hurt you can't touch us." I may very well be wrong, and you can bet I will be checking that out and questioning it. That said, in legal terms wouldn't this fall under "depraved indifference." At the very least it could be "criminal negligence." I understand the sport is dangerous and I incur certain risks, but to say the DZ has NO LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY to maintain its aircraft or gear would be opening up all kinds of problems and would most likely hurt the sport. I agree that malfunctions happen, engines fail, wind shear occurs, etc. In those cases where the DZ has done everything they can do to be safe, and to maintain all their equipment and ratings, I would not ever hold them responsible. But this statement is something entirely different. It is almost sinister.
  19. edited the above for the hell of it much better Actually, NOW it is perfect.
  20. At lunch time or if I am alone I like to get the check as quickly as possible. That usually means a diner. But if I am paying 60+ for two people, you better not bring the check till I ask for it. The type of meal (lunch vs. dinner), establishment (diner versus upscale) and mood of company (friends vs intimate) should all be taken into account. But if you are required as in your casse, just set it down and say nothing about it. Like others have said, I will take care of it in my time.
  21. I am blinded for LIIIIIiiiiiiiIIIIfe!
  22. Wow, this thread started in 2002? And then for 18 months laid dead and now in 2004 it is RESURECTED! Makes you want to think twice about anything stupid you say. . .
  23. I have a Bonehead havok and my neptune goes on the outside. First it is strapped in with elastic badns and then it has a velcro enclosure strap for extra security. Like an inny and an outy at once.
