I love American Chopper. Monster Garage has gotten lame as hell. Why have rules if you have every intention of not following them? Must appear stock my ass. Jesse James is a putz. Gimme the OCC crew or Bourget anyday. My kids love American Chopper because they say I act just like Paul Sr. They always go "See! That's what you do!" When I make fun of Paul and his tirades. I'm nothing like him, so I tell my son to suck it up and be a man when cut his finger or when I yell at him for not putting his toys away and he starts to wimper. So I want my tools clean and tools put away when they use them and yell when they aren't. So I expect them to get things done in a timely manner and yell at them . . . oh damn.

Why isn't skydiving part of the X-Games?
sdgregory replied to gerryfuss's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Of all the diciplines that I watch on video, my family and friends get most jazzed when watching swooping. There is definitely some truth to your statement. In fact after about five ten minutes of watching freefal of any kind the native begin to get restless. It actually takes away from my enjoyment. So most times I watch skydiving videos alone or just with my youngest two kids. They like watching most of the disciplines, but of course they want to skydive so to them it is like daydreaming. -
What should PD have named the sabre2
sdgregory replied to TomSpoon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Does this mean we can expect a big boy or a Tandem named the B-52? Or the Flying Fortress? -
Bravo, good man. Jolly Good show. Touching story. :wipes tear from eye too:

This seems to be the most logical reason for the high price. Most beginning skydivers that I have seen do not have the money to spend on a new rig, new canopy, new reserve, new cypress II, etc. I was just looking at a custom Mirage G4 with the colors I want and the options I would like, just to price it and man just the container was $2,462 without tax and shipping. Now through in my main and reserve and well duh, as you all know better than me, I am looking at well over 5.5K. I got my G3 with reserve and cypress for 2600 plus 1000 for my main. Used gear market has definitely got to be slowing new rig sales. Out of curiosity, have you guys that have been in a while seen prices dropping as more people join the sport? What do you predict rig prices to be doing over the next five or ten years?

Call me a SAP . . . waiting waiting waiting . . . Anyway. I believe that love is something you sacrifice for. You give up something of yourself when you truly love someone else. You will do things that defy common logic. You will put their needs above your own. If you truly love this person then selfish desires go away and you do whatever you can to make this person happy. I say, drop whatever, relocate and trust that you will be able to continue your life when you get where you are going. Love covers a multitude of errors. Nothing that is done and goes awry cannot be undone when it is done love. Love turns stumbling blocks into stepping stones. All this to say, um do you love this person? Do you gotta hold this person? Do you want to do whatever it takes to fullfill this person's life? Then you gotta get moving!

I worked contsruction in Fl. for 3 years. Seen some crazy stuff. But try driving on US 27. Gators cross the road all the time. Hell, Fl. one of the few places in the world were golfing can be considered dangerous. Try going after a ball you lost in the water. Anyone remember Chubbs from Happy Gilmore?

If you are flirting or entertaining thoughts of meeting one of the guys online then yeah it is wrong. Does not sound like that is the case here. I have no problem with my wife being friendly with guys. She is my wife and I know whose bed she sleeps in (or doesn't sleep in . I do not worry about her "falling" for some other guy because I know she loves me. She makes sure I know it every day. Now I would not want guys calling the house to talk to her, that would be wrong and she does not go out to dinner or shopping or have guys over when I am not home. That would be wrong too. But to not talk to guys at all? That would be impossible to expect. Some of her friends are married. She has become friends with their husbands. My best friend is a guy and he calls here to talk to me all the time and my wife is friends with him. I would actually be kinda put off if she did not talk to him if he called especially if he called and I was not home. He is like part of the family to me. I guess it comes down to two things, are you a controlling freak and need to have every action of your spouse under a microscope? Or are you so insecure that you cannot trust your spouse to be friends with the opposite sex without them being unfaithful? Hmm I would even go so far as to say the first one stems from the second. This guy sounds like he is insecure about himself and projected it onto you. Then again he could have been a troll. Also, if it is so wrong why the hell is he talking to women online? Oh wait, it is only wrong if women do it.

Hey you cannot say that! That is our Family name. Wherever we go people say, there's the Verydorky Family. See look at my name: Sean D. Verydorky. Unless of course we are somehow related by a not so distant cousins mother's third cousin's great aunt's niece or something. I cannot wait to see Miracle. We will of course wait for the DVD like we always do. Don't know about you but it costs me 100 bucks to take my family to the movies. So we bought a nice widescreen TV and surround sound and a popcorn mchine and do a theater thing at the house. 47' Widescreen TV - $2000 "Miracle" DVD - $19.99 Popcorn Maker - $30.00 60 lbs of popcorn kernels - $10.00 Choice of Candy - $10.00 4 2-liters of Soda - $3.00 Sitting around the house in your jammies with your Verydorky family and farting during the film only to find out you need to pause and go to the restroom - PRICELESS

I forgot about that movie. Donald Sutherland was hysterical in that. Great war movie. The series was even better.

"Sniper" included a scenes based on a number of Gunny Hathcock's exploits, but was an embarrassment in general. Hollywood could fuck up a wet dream. Blue skies, Winsor Ever read the book Marine Sniper? Great book on Gunny Hathcock. Some great photos in it too. Sniper flat out sucked. Except for Tom Berrenger. One fo the few movies I liked him in. Heartbreak Ridge is one of my favorite movies of all time but it is not really a war movie.

Wrong way, I saw that movie too. If they cut out about one hour of junk the movie would have been a lot better. I liked the premise of it but it just moves so damn slow you feel like you are stuck in a time lock. Saw the dude in the cap too. So much for skilled continuity experts.
