Hi Keith, Re: Couldn't take 15 minutes of it. Click. Ain't heard a word since. About 30 yrs ago, we had a contractor located in Lancaster, SC. I went down there many times; lodged in Charlotte, NC - about a 30 minute drive to Lancaster. In the morning, on the way down, and in the late afternoon, on the way back, I found a radio station I quite liked. The only problem, when I had to drive into Lancaster for lunch, they had Rush on the air. 10 mins of that idiot, each way, was too much for me. Jerry Baumchen

Electric cars banned from parking garages

Hi Brent, And, a different German perspective: Seven years ago, Mathias Döpfner was at a ceremony celebrating Tesla founder Elon Musk. Döpfner, the head of German media company Axel Springer, was seated next to a CEO of one of Germany's biggest carmakers, and he turned to him and asked, "Isn't this guy dangerous for you?" As he later recounted, the CEO shook his head. "These guys in Silicon Valley, they have no clue about engineering, about building really beautiful and great cars," the CEO told him. "So we don't have to worry." What Will Tesla's New German Gigafactory Mean For Germany's Auto Industry? : NPR Jerry Baumchen -
Hi folks, Talk about horsepuckey: 'He was polite and respectful to everyone he met.' Conservative media pioneer Rush Limbaugh dead at 70 - POLITICO She needs to wake up & face reality. Jerry Baumchen PS) Oh, and let me ad: Relentlessly, he sold a conservative viewpoint with braggadocio, complete with name-calling and insults. There is reality.

Hi John, You might excuse that area of Portland and south. We have a lot of tree-huggers here. To get approval to remove a tree on your own property, in this area, you usually have to replace it with one that will grow back as large as the one being taken out. Even then, it is an uphill battle with the local authorities. Also, a lot of people like those tall, full blooming, old Oak trees. The problem is that they do serious damage to the electric infrastructure during ice storms. I've removed all three of the large ( potentially damaging ) trees on my property.* My son took one out of his property last year and will probably take the other one out next year. Jerry Baumchen * I hated to do it, as I really liked the look of them. Hi Brent, Re: I have a big problem when the government does it with my money. If the feds ( Eisenhower's admin ) had funded the interstate system, you would be driving cars/trucks with 1940's technology. It was about 1947, we were on US 99, going north to visit my grandmother. My dad was driving our 1937 Chevy and he said to us, 'Look, we are going a mile a minute.' While it was only momentary, it was a big deal in those days. I have never forgotten that moment. Hi Ken, When today comes to an end, Mitch will be in office & Trump will not be. Also, I know of no potential lawsuits against Mitch. Guess who wins? Jerry Baumchen PS) Not that I like much about two-faced Mitch, though. Someone should tell Trump that sometimes reality sucks.

Hi Bill, Re: But I see no evidence of it. I think it's more to do with kids that are driving their parents nuts. I'm with you. After all, parents have been home-schooling kids for decades. I have not seen any real problems with it. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Wendy, Re: I chose not to date before the divorce My attorney told me, after the wife moved out, that I could date but NEVER bring anyone home. I was still in the house with both kids and he felt that could be used against me with unwanted ( meaning costly ) results. We were still in a battle regarding who my kids would live with. Hi Robert, Re: I would say Joe has a damn good chance of not only coming through on his promise to America, but exceeding it by a great deal. He probably would get there faster if the state of Oregon was not a complete clusterf**k. The governor has been one of the major problems, along with the Oregon Health Authority ( OHA). The governor keeps moving the goalposts and changing the rules. Then, the OHA decided to have people's medical providers give the shots. Then they decided that only they, the OHA could do it right. Change this, change that; reminds me of Abbot & Costello's Who's on First. After, an almost inhuman effort by my extremely determined daughter, I am now scheduled for my 1st shot this Friday, the 19th. Whew. Jerry Baumchen PS) For the duration of my thinking life, when I have considered the four levels of gov't: City, County, State, Federal - The state of Oregon is by far & wide, the worst. Well, at least they are consistent. OK, off of my soap box.
