  1. That is exactly what I've been bleating all along. Wishing it wasn't so changes nada. Then also there are 20 R led states with ballot powers that need to be considered. It's just a royal clusterfuck and the only hope is a Biden victory in November. As I said, maybe Merchan can help or even Chutkan but otherwise it's vote and hope.
  2. Only Biden can replace Biden and there are no signs of that happening.
  3. For starters they could focus on former Trump hater and now VP candidate Vance. I mean seriously, was Palin unavailable? Vance once called Trump "Americas Hitler", he's only 39 years old, a proud hillbilly, and a professional bootlicker. I only hope he goes toe to toe with Harris. Oh, but we'll be all nicey nice again.
  4. There's that, I grant you. Maybe he'll kill it in debate #2. Me, I'm hoping Merchan puts him it the calaboose for some time in September.
  5. Are you really thinking that Trump getting a piercing, along with the D's choosing Rip Van Winkle, will give Trump the election? His rabid base can't vote twice in large numbers and we already suspected a huge turnout there. I doubt women will feel sorry enough to accept the yoke Most issues a very polarizing issues and there is still a lot of time, really.
  6. Aren't you supposed to be studying? We sent you out of skydiving and into college, as you might recall. Now back to it.
  7. Apparently the party of unlimited Second Amendment Rights are banning all firearms from their convention. Go figure.
  8. I'm going with the simplest reason: his supporters are also too dumb to know who to shoot.
  9. I'm just an insensitive boor and an enemy of man's best friend, I guess, but I think anyone with a dog in the desert heat is as condemnable as those who leave them in a car on a hot day. Maybe, at least, people are keeping their cats inside and out of trouble.
  10. Golly Phil, I'm starting to get a little wet eyed here. Did we really have it so wrong? Maybe it's me who shouldn't vote.
  11. That's it. Parse it and play it however it makes you feel better but it's still the case that one of the candidates will always have, if it's even ever so infinitesimal, an edge that makes them a better choice of the two to lead the nation. By not voting you are voting at least in some percentage for the candidate you least prefer. Not to mention it's a horrible example to set in a representative democracy you are otherwise proud to have served to protect it's continuance. If you can be happy with yourself when displaying such a disconnect publicly so be it.
  12. Say what you want, believe what you want, this picture says it all: we need a new candidate fast and Kamala has to go.
  13. Um, maybe an A(i)R style rifle. Thoughts and prayers.
  14. "Many a tear has to fall but it's all in the game". You are a hard man to respect sometimes. No matter, richravizza thinks you are a sage. So you have that.
  15. You are so right. Yesterday it was quit the Joe has to go crap. Now, holy shit.
  16. Strange that the Secret Service held him up for more shots. Aren't they supposed to dog pile him? Weird. Edit: Apparently a rally attendee was killed and another wounded along with the shooter. Surely the secret service didn't make that error.
  17. Or anywhere in the Eastern Caribbean. That's where all the storm water damaged cars go. I've rented some real beaut's.
  18. Finally something I agree with. But I'm thinking that's somewhat true of many of us here. Even 'ol BillVon who remains in possession of a large portion of his critical reasoning faculties has continued on in a second or third career to stay active and somewhat interesting and ward off the day to come when someone hangs a sign with his name and address around his neck. So credit yourself with your circumstance; it's not just chance.
  19. I can sort of see your point but it's not how I see things. I see people around me, old engineers and master riggers, who are into their 80's and who are vital and still able to stir the shit online. Sure people with crap genes are falling over and mumbling and so on but to my eye the sands of time can be made to run a lot slower by staying active physically and mentally. I'd say Biden fits that model.
  20. I neither get this way of thinking or respect it, sorry to say. To say you aren't "voting against" is self chicanery; just a cheap mechanism to pretend the truth isn't the truth: you reserve the right to sit out the hard ones. Please rethink your position.
  21. Road trip! Please post pics. Why are you keeping track and why are you driving there? It sounds like a sentence from a judge not something a sane person would do.
  22. You should get a job at hospice, you'd be wonderful.
  23. Unfortunately, the entire media uh, oh, uh, oh team will stay on this like slime on Trump for any and every chance at a click or eyeball and minimal regard for the country or the fact that Biden has been gaffing and word slurring since he told his old man the truth: quit calling me champ, it’s embarrassing. So go frizzlegimgobo yourself.
  24. Biden killed it in Detroit. In front of a crowd, like Trump, he's awesome. Watch it all including the women, and yes they were mostly black women hugging him on stage. The chattering class will do their thing and our mercenary elected officials will do the same, self interest being what it is. Jerry, brother, it's time to accept reality: absent the media's current focus on Biden's gaffs, which will never end, he's a good candidate and all of the negative stuff only helps Trump.
  25. You are right so I bumped you to 2 thousand likes as a reward. I'm going to recogitate my opinion on the matter.
