    I met a delightful young lady last night, an immigrant from Mozambique who waited our table. She spoke impeccable english she learned by watching movies and matching words in a book. She was studying Chemical Engineering and her two sisters were studying Mechanical and Electrical Engineering respectively. She said their motivation was to honor their parents sacrifices. Talk about impressive.

    That’s rough. It’s sad how we’ve all stigmatized mental health issues. That’s especially so given how little we know about the brains workings and how obviously crappy the rest of our systems work. Hang in there for the better times to come.

Ron DeSantis issued a declaration of emergency for 35 counties.......: The order specified that landfills in areas damaged by Hurricane Helene remain open to accept debris from that storm before Milton arrives. It also says state emergency officials “shall not have the authority to suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation of firearms.” There you have it sport fans, when a second hurricane is barreling down on your state the second order of business after keeping the dumps open is suspending any controls on firearms sales or distribution. Florida is not a well state.

    Seriously, if you are in the cone of this thing you need to vacate. Water temperatures are very high. It's reasonable to expect a last minute Cat 4 or more.

    Yes, sort of, but it's more purely a Brentican response as he feeds a very personal need to be right on all topics. It's not an all bad all of the time thing but it is a feature of someone else in your daily news feed.

    It's not that all Americans are in agreement but the sad, simple, reality is that when you have 11 nuclear powered aircraft carrier battle groups, and the next country on the list has one, folks just naturally expect you'll be carrying the load.

    Well, there it is right? If folks want to build and live in a hurricane zone, any flood plains, on fault lines or, as I prefer, downwind from a volcano great. Just don't come to the taxpayers with your hand out when what was obviously going to happen, happens, and don't be surprised if your property is deemed uninsurable by some dude in a cubicle somewhere.

    But it is not word for word the exact prediction made by the climate alarmist scientific community. Therefore the prediction does not agree with observation.
