  1. Time for a new plan: Biden announces he will not accept the nomination and spends the next 4 months carefree cleaning up the mess with Executive Orders stacking the courts jailing Trump, etc. etc. etc.
  2. Fine, we gave you Canada, what's another day.
  3. One year, 411 jumps, and spent 6 of those months looking for a place to open a safe jump center that had rules. But then, you know that story.
  4. Nope, it'll be July 1 now and June 14th: Your Favorite Presidents Day!
  5. Too much lightning and you attract dodgy jump operators.
  6. The USSC gave Biden the tools to fix this mess. Too bad he's not up to that, either. It'll be vote for me and if I win.......
  7. That's the point entirely. All of this good and bad, right and wrong, but it's not what the founders intended crap is now over. What remains is not that Biden is the doddering old fool he most obviously is but whether he has the nuts to put in a ball at the rim of the cup, even if the world he believes in is gone, and do what Trump will do if he doesn't. For my money, I think if Biden resigns Kamala will: she won't let Trump win. She'll put his fat ass in the can.
  8. In a nutshell the sad history of our sport: you knew Lodi was dangerous to human life but you gave them your money to have your own fun.
  9. Jerry, From page 18 of the decision, attached, "In dividing official from unofficial conduct, courts may not inquire into the President’s motives." Immunity ruling.pdf
  10. Got me. If it was me, I'd use these powers to prove the obvious which is that Trump is a traitor. I'd empty every drawer, safe, and pants pocket in every property he has and have his ass in a steel chair with a bright light shining. He was in possession of national secrets and there is solid evidence he shared information and inferential evidence he collaborated with the Russians. That's plenty for Biden in his official capacity to protect national security by hauling Trumps ass in for serious questioning and holding him to prevent further damage. And now there isn't jack Trump or anyone else could do to stop it.
  11. In the decision, if I am clear on it, there can be little or no inquiry into a Presidents motive. The devil then is that there can be little to no inquiry into the details. Also, the President no longer has a supervisor. This is very different, I think.
  12. Also, just to make better your day, Footnote 15 in the immunity decision affirms DOJ policy that a sitting President cannot be prosecuted. That guarantees he won't leave office. This is serious and Biden must use his immunity powers to neuter Trump. Past that then only real hope is Merchan showing up with a MAGA hat and a shit eating grin screaming 4 More Years!
  13. Depends on how you are going to parse "better".
  14. After which one of his appointed spawn will rule the nation. All of this talk it's been superceded by the Presidential Immunity decision. Time to pack the courts, yes courts, and use his new immunity and executive powers to raise hell. No reason not to raid every Trump property for evidence and bring him in to sweat in a cell for a confession. Give Ukraine all it needs, put McConnell in a big pet carrier for transport to Gitmo, end Red State subsidies, license his dogs to bite Comer and Jordon, ban assault weapons, make Brent write I heart Climate Change on the blackboard, and just make life miserable for Republicans.
  15. Fine then. If Biden wants to show some cojones he should round up the first 10 drag queens the secret service can find and by executive appointment give them at will appointments to the Supreme Court. And that's just minute one with the entire rest of the first day waiting.
  16. Which I think must be acknowledged. Also, his fund raising is very strong post debate. I'd swap out Biden for younger and better that didn't lower our chances and have said so. Goal one is beating Trump. If that gets done by pounding square pegs into round holes so be it. Post debate polling and fund raising suggests that is now best accomplished by supported him staying in the race and donating money to generate even more confidence.
  17. I am obviously not explaining myself well.
  18. Insurers usually have a hurricane box where no coverage for named storms exist. In the Caribbean it's usually between 29 and 12 degrees latitude +/- a fraction during Hurricane season. So for standard policies that's between Southern Georgia and the Grenadines, generally. You can pay up for coverage in the box and some do, especially charter companies. Consequently, a lot of boats are stored in Grenada in yards or marinas. I think Ivan was the last one to hit Grenada.
  19. Bill I have no idea what you are trying to say and FYI it's sparse with an S. Also, if you can't stay awake please have an espresso. Now someone needs to be first, so I think you need to resign. Sure, there will be other opinions and polls to help me think but you really have moved beyond your normal losing it to, well, the next level down. Obviously, there are concerns. Wendy is sort of nice in a NASA sort of way (you know, kind of out there) but now is the time to do something even if it's wrong. Not to set the stage but that's where I can help, you step down, aside, or into a busy street as you desire and I'll hold your spot while Wendy finishes her time in the pickle barrel firming up. When the time seems right I'll go back to private life etc. etc. and pass the baton. Sound like a plan?
  20. And a very southerly track. Most boat insurance requires 12 degrees or less. Usually that means Grenada is good. Maybe no more after Beryl
  21. This sort of polling won't encourage him to go. Strangely enough it's sort of a positive referendum on Harris for President eventually. Biden should have decided on one term. Power and selfishness, same as ever.
  22. I vote in Oregon, my congressional leadership would be happy to ban pictures of guns.
  23. Jerry, again, we agree. But how do you her to go easily? Maybe I am unaware of some super secret get out of the Vice Presidents chair card or some other non-shitshow procedure but if she resists how do you get her gone?
  24. She is the Vice President. She has the taste in her mouth. She knows it would be now or never. I don't think just not inviting her to lunch will work. Not to mention just ignoring her might piss off a couple of constituencies who possess 70% of the votes in America; all some would need to do is just not vote. She will need to be brought on board best I can see.
