Another victory for going outside to leak. I always knew it was the right thing to do, just not why.

SCOTUS says federal law protects LGBTQ workers from discrimination
JoeWeber replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Wendy, you are wonderful but what Mark posted should be met with opprobrium, not understanding or thank you's for the apology. I think it isn't a question of detesting some of his views but rather a question of asking yourself if some of his views are so detestable as to make further inquiry into his other views unnecessary. I submit that standard has been met. I don't judge him for being a mercenary any more than I judge him for being a computer programmer who lost his job. I judge him on who he has shown his true self to be. Truly, even his attempt at apology showed his disdain for any who do not believe as he does. In my opinion reaching out with care to someone so obviously incapable of caring back is a muggs game. Each to their own but I don't have time left in my life for committed bigots. -

So I'll take it on faith, if you actually had your rabbit ears tuned to the video, that the propositional straw man argument "they say it is a genocide, now me and you both know what a genocide is" (at 1:37) was not a problem for you. Nor would it have caused you to wonder if the presenter had an agenda or was into his 15 minutes of fame. Nope. I'll bet you screamed Hallelujah called in someone who could upload a video. -

Which attitude do you mean? His attitude about barbarism lifted from a fantasy Conan the Barbarian novel or his offensive, bigoted attitude toward the LGBTQ community. Separately, what is it with people who believe that crude, harmful bullshit? Have they never known a gay person? Honestly, like religious beliefs, I'm beginning to think it's more of a brain anatomy or chemistry thing because for damn sure it isn't a logic or fact based thing. -

Same speech any 12 year old gives his Mom to avoid another ass whipping. You are still who you are. -

Unless you are ashamed to do it, please let me know your name so I can be certain you are banned from my DZ forever. You wouldn't like it anyway, we proudly fly a huge rainbow flag display in support of all of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters and happily refuse service to narrow minded, bigoted assholes regularly. -
Whatever. Can you stand on your head and chug a beer, old timer?

Get real, Ron. WTF does some old ex-"Delta Force/CIA buddy" know about what is in the mind of a 19 year old kid in 2020? You really don't love this country if you can glibly toss out that the Army ought to be able to follow illegal and unconstitutional orders to shoot US citizens on the whim of whomever just happens to be POTUS that year. Wow. -

Outstanding. So Gorsuch isn't a complete asshole, after all. Now let's see them rule with common sense, and with the law, on Trumps taxes. -

Ron, you have a preternatural ability to miss the point entirely. So, I have a question for you and, should he be so interested to chime in, Markharju. When SHTF or the assault on Communist Academia or whatever our version will be called begins, who will the US Army and National Guard be shooting at? Are you simply assuming it will be me, BillVon and that pesky Ken? -
Thank you. That's a Standard Caravan with the Texas Turbines 900HP -12JR Conversion. The tells are the Chrome Collar on the air intake and the very round exhaust. Well, also that it climbs like crazy.
-
I'm a DZO with two Short Caravans, one an 850HP Supervan and the other is a standard 675HP Caravan. I'm trying to sort out how many US DZ's have normal Short Caravans for a project I'm working on. Any help will be appreciated.

It would be you that actually clicked the link. Ron, Ron, Ron, you are by far the most transparent (insert disallowed word here) who posts on SC. -

Ken, it is well established that cops in the midst of a mindless murder, especially if there are several present, are open to suggestion. Moreover, the times when an unarmed citizen has stopped a murder in progress being committed by armed murderers in uniform are many. The absolute best solution is to hold your breath until you are as blue as their uniforms and then step in and offer to take over. Works every time. -

To protect himself from even crazier people. That's why the founders gave us the second amendment, because there is always someone crazier out there. And when it eventually works downstream to that poor, sorry bastard he'll need a gun to protect himself from the tyranny of the less crazy masses. Pure genius when you stop to think about it.

Maybe he would have intervened. Maybe he's part of a secret protective movement. Below is a screen grab of a fine person in full military garb guarding a Confederate statue in Kentucky. Is her helmet not a Turtle shell? Coincidence? -
So you can be funny. Thanks.

They didn't have much choice. The base has sort of shriveled to Christians, Confederates, Civilian Commandos and Conspiracy Crazies. Not a lot of gay support there.
