  1. Wow. What an amazing story. Thanks.
  2. Beautiful world wars. I think my dad would disagree. He was the tail gunner in this B-24.
  3. That he said it immediately without knowing the facts as found by the trier of fact tells you all you need to know about how fucked we are if we do not resist. I'm thinking it's time for a 20 Million Patriot March on Washington demanding that Trump resign. There is no defense better than an aggressive offense. Of course, we can always continue to deplore it all.
  4. I'd rather give the asshole an hour in an alley with Bigun, but hey, that's just my inner snowflake.
  5. Thanks John, After I posted the questions, I was suddenly consumed by doubt imagining that you might not think I was asking for serious answers. Now I can relax.
  6. Is the white ribbon to find your house? Great idea, I might start that. And who puts potted plants at the curb?
  7. That's a good idea. A great idea might be to name a few after Gold Star mothers.

Keep your distance Then no harm will come No ill wind Will blow Will blow Sudden words Must never be spoken All ill wind Will blow Will blow Keep your cool Do not give into emotion An ill wind Will blow Will blow -Radiohead
  9. Whose going to give them the news that they won't be needing an AR-15?
  10. Well, if saving money was important, they did have other options on the shelf that definitely had more panache. I simply think it's poor form to run around screaming the dilithium crystals are getting ready to blow wearing camo when you could do it riding a horse or swinging a scepter. But that's just me.
  11. It appears that when we elected him we were just getting started.
  12. Actually it is the penultimate expression of how stupid we are. Why not Navy whites or Marine dress blues? Simple, it was to announce we are militarizing space and fuck anyone who objects. And no, the military wasn't being thrifty that week for the first time in history.
  13. And it does. Back in the day it was tear gas and real bullets which they really didn't want to use. Now it's "less than lethal" projectiles that will send you to the ER for facial reconstruction. So we're making progress there, I guess. The conversation is now beyond not being offensive so the conversation can continue. Secret Police are being deployed in the cities of our nation by a rogue federal government to not just suppress protests but to enhance the current governments chances at reelection. Just let that thought explode in your brain for a second. If that isn't enough for you to discard your fear of the opposition party and say fuck that shit then you will never say it.

Might staple your minor in finance to it. :) No worries, I'll stand for the beer and the fajitas. I've made a nice profit the in the market last few months betting against Brent. And that's no shit.
  15. Don't trivialize something serious, Bill. You never know where you'll need to wear camouflage.

I truly do not know what Sophies choices he faced but I definitely get your point that some kind of serious Executive Order should have been issued guided by intelligent, mature leadership from the President. The reality is that owing to the number of unintelligent, immature other Governors in the America the whole thing was doomed to fail from the start. Now we are paying the price. That price, by the way, is an average of 10 bucks for a six pack of decent beer. So you might get three months of brew for your two grand but someone else will need to bring the fajitas.

And maybe against his own intuition or desires, too. Except in skydiving it's never too late to make the right decision.
  18. That's why it is so important to get the uniform right. It set's the tone.
  19. Kids in the house mean different rules. Friends and family with show up at any hour permissions mean different rules. Not locking your house means different rules. Living in an upside down world where the cops are happy to gather for overtime and knock around marchers but can not be bothered to investigate a break in during regular hours means different rules. I've never claimed to be anti-gun. I'm definitely anti-pistol for home defense if you aren't a practiced expert and think AR-15's, and most other rifles, are just dumb guns for the purpose. Bolt action and pump guns are too easy to fumble, especially in the dark. Also, and it's a fine point I concede, I do not keep it fully loaded and safety off. If it comes to it, I'm hoping the loud, unmistakable noise will do the trick.
  20. Even were it legal it would be an asshole thing to do. I absolutely do not advocate chasing anyone with a gun. Don't tell me you're one of these guys who always listens to the cops.
  21. Good googaloo, Joe, I thought my position was clear: stay inside your damn house. It's home defense not home offense which is what those two moron lawyers were playing at.
  22. No it wasn't. It was a quote from a cop who was explaining to me just how far I could probably take it and still not be charged. He was schooling me on shot selection when I told him I picked up the Beretta Tactical for home defense. He thought it best to make the first two or three buckshot and the last two rifled slugs in case the motherfuckers were escaping in their car.
  23. My understanding, which as usual is irrelevant to the topic at hand, is that it was a private community with private roads. I live on such a thing; the county road ends and the paved private road begins. That's where the private road, no trespassing and stay the fuck out signs, are conspicuously posted. Of course all asshole realtors, Jehovah's Witnesses and now civil rights protestors I guess, remain privileged to ignore such requests.
  24. Nope. You leave it on the floor beside the bed and just a bit under. The round is in the receiver and ready. Then you simply need to press the receiver release to make that very distinctive sound, that, in a quiet house is like no other, pick it up and point it at the bedroom door. You are now ready to spray 5 loads of nine .32 caliber Buckshot balls at whomever comes through the door and around the corner. And you will have a chance of success even if you spent the night scarfing Fajitas and getting hammered on beers over at Bigun's place.
  25. That's a foolish thing to say and you must know it. Unless you are a complete moron you do not give up cover if you expect to be in a gunfight. The idiot trespassers were only trespassing. Going outside to brandish stupid, useless weapons was plain dumb if the homeowners were, as was claimed, afraid. It's utter nonsense. They were not afraid. They reeked of being in white privilege control. Furthermore the overall context of this nationwide rebellion was basically peaceful anger. No torches, no pitch forks, no one being dragged from their beds for execution. Job one in threat negotiation is to avoid escalation. Next you sell the idea of peace. Unless, that is, you crave the idea of confrontation.
