  1. I wouldn't call the certs a waste of money. Frustrating, yes, but not a total waste. They don't release new versions every month. The certs can also have a large benefit when looking for a job, or a positive impact on your salary. It is especially cost-effective if your current employer is paying for it all.
  2. I so resembled that idea. I drove my last car for 2 years with no gas gauge. Every 200 miles, I filled up. That left me enough of a margin for error. That car had such issues. Non-functional items: gas gauge sun roof rear window wiper radio air conditioning etc...
  3. I'm working my through a number of the Microsoft certs, but haven't done that one yet. So you are probably ahead of me. What are you shooting for?
  4. Practicing for one of the MCSE tests?
  5. How would that be different from all other days?
  6. Evidently, spelling is an exception.
  7. You have a geek fetish. There is hope for us yet.
  8. I didn't post the question, but you are correct.
  9. The question is whether you'd end up on his Top Ten List or not.
  10. Only enough to get re-elected and guarantee his post-presidential consulting fee rate.
  11. Or he is married, and talking about anyone other than his wife. Nobody is THAT stupid.
  12. Well, at least you are getting good use out of your furniture.
  13. I don't know about the all-powerful part... As to the jokes, CrazyThomas, I'm not a fan of the offensive jokes, but that is between you, the greenies and the HH.
  14. You just have to look in the right place. http://www.terex.com/main.php?obj=prod&action=VIEW&id=15 However, it is hard to drive when your ass will only fit in the dump bed.
  15. Just fine. She is crawling around like crazy and pulling herself up to standing using anything she can find. She recognizes more and more words. If we are in her room and say "parachute man", she looks at this ceramic guy under canopy we have hanging by a spring from the ceiling. She also recognizes lots of words, including: mommy, daddy, fishies, Cheerios, and of course, BOOBIES! How cool is it that I can say "You want some boobies?" and she smiles, turns to my wife, grabs a boob and opens her mouth? What a life! Her sleeping streak is still unbroken, despite a couple times when she had double ear infections. It is really bad because there is a guy in my office with a baby who has never slept more than a few hours at a time. He sometimes asks me, "How do you manage all the times Lucy gets up screaming in the middle of the night?" I usually mumble something unintelligble, rather than crushing the guy by asking back, "What? You mean all babies don't just sleep peacefully every night?" Muahahaha! What else... She is starting to eat more and more real food. We are giving her some of the things we eat, and she likes pretty much everything. She eats meats, lots of different veggies, pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, and just about everything else we leave within her reach. Her favorite thing to eat? Paper. If there is a sheet of paper (or Parachutist) anywhere on the floor, she will immediately crawl to it and start eating. We have to be quick! How is your guy doing?
  16. Quit eating so many Freebirds burritos.
  17. Like that matters. We don't even pay our UN bills, and our government still feels like they can boss the UN around.
  18. Right. Like we have that much self-control, Mr. Boring-Skydiver Man!
  19. Shut up! You're ugly, and your momma dresses you funny!
  20. Poluting or not, the power density of hydrocarbon-based fuels is pretty high.
  21. Pretty much as expected, for both Bush's address and the Democratic response. Partisan politics as usual, except everyone fighting everyone else to look the most patriotic with respect to terrorism. The president's script writers did a decent job. I just don't expect to see much of anything they talked about actually come about. There wasn't a whole lot I found particularly objectionable. Well, at least before the part where they actually introduced the president. It went downhill after that. Like someone else already commented: Where is all the money for the war(s) going to come from, with all of the tax cutting for the wealthy? He shouldn't begin to talk about the environment, as he has absolutely no credibility. He shouldn't mess in any way with women's right to choose legal abortion, should they need it. The alternatives are worse. All the talk of people getting powerful and using their military and weapons of mass destruction for intimidation... check the mirror, Mr. President. I hate most all politicians, both Democrat and Republican.
  22. People do that? There was no way I was going to enlist without knowing what I was going to do. Yikes!
  23. There are a lot of various fuel cell technologies out there right now. The whole industry is still in its infancy right now. Some big specific players are: Ballard Power Systems FuelCell Energy, Inc. Millennium Cell, Inc. H Power Corp. Plug Power, Inc. Of course, conglomerates like GE and 3M are working on it also. I agree with you that right now it is alternative fuels used in fuel cells that provides the best option. The systems are more flexible, and have less supply problems than straight hydrogen systems. Shocked that I'm talking about something other than gun control and boobies?
