In my opinion only... 99% of "ghost" pictures can be debunked. The other 1% haven't been taken yet.

Depends on what you are looking for in a name. Aside from the issue of the underlying meanings and etymology of a name, there is the popularity. When we were looking for names, we wanted something that was not the hot "name of the year" or some such. We didn't want our child to have the same name as lots of her classmates and friends. A good place to research that kind of stuff if you are interested is on the Social Security Administration website: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

Zennie, You aren't the type of person I'm referring to at all. It is those without the valid need, that don't have any or many of the symptoms, much less all of them, that I object to getting the medications. Some people look for the quickest easiest answer without even making sure they really have the problem. It is the cavalier attitude, rather than the medicines themselves, that frustrates me. You hit the problem with everything you could. You were working on the causes at the same time you were working on the symptoms. It seems that very often, the causes get ignored because there is an easy medical solution to the continually supressing the symptoms. Unfortunately, there are lots of people that don't care. They don't understand the seriousness of what they are doing. They just "get 'Zac'ed up" (their words) and leave it at that. The person in the example I gave (bipolar) HATES being on meds, but they honestly help her regulate a biochemical imbalance. The fact that you see the medication as something transitory is a healthy mindset. I'm glad it helped you when you most needed it. I'm also glad you are doing well enough to start going without it.

I agree completely. I saw someome I know go from being a totally incoherent, non-sensical, raving, incarcerated lunatic to being a warm friendly person again due to the right meds. The person has seen a number of various doctors and it took the right one to correctly diagnose her as being bipolar and act accordingly. My objection is to the doctors that just prescribe like crazy, without getting histories of patients or trying anything else first. When seriously mind-altering drugs are the first response, rather than the last resort, we have a problem.

I got thoroughly bashed in a previous thread for being unsympathetic to those with psychological issues, but I agree with you. While they do have valid uses, I think lots of drugs are way overprescribed. It has almost become a first choice, instead of finding out if there is really a deeper issue. Maybe cheap drugs and insurance lead people to take the easy way out. I don't know...

Exactly. Stop being so damned selfish. Think of the ladies that need your help. Where is your common courtesy? Giving isn't hard, so be hard-on giving.

A guy would enjoy accompanying his girlfriend to meetings, even if he didn't think she had a fat ass that needed to go.
-
I already did that in another thread. So in this thread, I am offering a hearty congratulations on making it work, and taking you up on your offer of island rum.

That is selfless. How nice that someone would share the opportunity with another dieter like that!

But Missouri has Fort Leonard Wood, where I had the bad luck to spend Basic Training. I'd take the tolls, thank you.

Hi, Jess. Welcome to the "Lazy as Hell" club.
-
They are too skinny, so you'd have to eat a lot of them to get full.
-
Umm. Because my name is Justin Fields, and I'm lazy as hell.
-
I've been called lots of things, but never nutritious.

There are very few toll roads where I live, so I defer to the poor fools that live in NJ and California.

Yeah, I know. We always tell her she is a "big girl". Compared to when she was born, she is huge, although for her age, she is actually pretty petite. She is just awesome.

Sorry. No can do.... Prepare to be subjected to more cuteness...
-
No, Erno. You're just a cabbage.
-
Actually, I thought that was the one funny thing he did say.

And this will show them that we are civilized, and have both a country and government worth respecting? It will illustrate how much better we are then their "brutal, backward, inbred, cowardly" selves? It is how we would want our soldiers to be treated in a war, should they be captured? Assuming you are referring to me... I don't despise Christians. I just despise people that use their religion as an excuse for violence (ANY religion). I despise people that see their religion as the only "true" religion and lay scorn on all the others, when they are all equally intangible and unprovable. I despise religious hypocrisy. If you feel those dislikes of mine fit you, then that is because of your departure from the true tolerant values of your own stated religion.

Mark, What about the rest of the Arab world, including Arab Americans? I'm not defending terrorists, but it is as inaccurate to generalize everyone of Arab descent as terrorists as it is to think all Americans are like Ted Kascynski (sp), Timothy McVeigh, or John Walker Lindh. Got the picture?
-
Mark, I'm sad to say that this type of thinking and vocabulary only goes to make more people hate us. To come across well and not instantly alienate your audience, try toning down the slurs. I don't like the Iraqi leadership any more than you do, but "ragheads" include both your neighbors here in America and plenty of people around the world that want Hussein out of power even more than you do. They have been living with him and near him for years, and have been hurt by him way more than you ever will. Try giving some respect a try.
-
Doh! I missed that from the original post too. I'm not the biggest dog fan, but what the hell, I'm not going to rescind the good vibes.

Consider it done. I hate my daughter getting shots more than she does. I feel for everyone who has to see their children go through medical procedures.

I get along great with my mother in law. (Sadly, no father in law to worry about. Killed in an accident.) She and I respect each other and try to accept each other's issues. We bought a house 100 yards from hers. She never drops in without calling first. We have our babysitter situation locked up. I just wish she'd learn how to use a screwdriver, hammer, and put in her own light bulbs.
