  1. Touche! Damnit, that is French too! Merde! Doh! What will be next, some kind of French moderator or something?
  2. If I ate them all, Sunshine would never forgive me. Oh, please. Like I haven't already planned that. And while I hope Skymama has the speediest of recoveries, we can't have the match until she is physically able to endure a grueling pudding wrestling match. She'll definitely need full shoulder rotation ability for that one. And while applying and then licking off Icy-Hot might help her shoulder, it wouldn't do anything for me if my tongue was totally numb.
  3. Mine is more like a jelly filled doughnut. Remember, the oak tree falls down in the storm, where the willow bends. Or some trite crap like that. What am I talking about? I have no idea. I didn't have breakfast and I could really use a doughnut.
  4. Incorrect. You can NOT change those other sources by filling out the Google form. That is part of the problem. As long as your phone name and phone number are in the phone book, somebody will produce a reverse lookup system. You can't stop them, as the information is public at that point.
  5. Keep eating like that, Viking, and you'll do as well in the water as the Titanic.

  7. Skymama, Your list is the shit! Great job, and thanks for organizing for all of us. You are now a big-way load organizer.
  8. Pro-Tec! It looks awesome, because it costs a lot less and does as good or better of a job.
  9. Chris, It sounds like you have a pretty good perspective on things. You have put your health as a priority, and you don't seem to be harboring anger at your employer that will eat you up. Focus on getting better. Once you have that one accomplished, the rest will follow. E-mail or PM if you ever need to vent. Hang in there.
  10. Arriving PHX Sat, Dec 27 10:37 AM Anyone?
  11. What Wildblue said.... Unless a person has a techie inclination, chances are they won't ever crack open the computer's case. They'll just keep loading software in. After a few years, the new software will run slower on the old computer, but not badly enough to be a problem. A few more years later, either the software won't install or something will break, at which time the person will just replace the computer. There really isn't a point to assembling your own computer any more, unless you are doing it to get something unique or just enjoy the process. It is more cost effective to just buy something from a manufacturer that gets all the parts dirt cheap. Welcome to the economies of scale and Econ. 101. They can sell you something cheaper than you could and still make a profit at it. Besides, it helps my Dell stock.
  12. I'll be the dissenting vote on the laptop. If you don't need the portability, don't bother. Drawbacks of laptops, compared to desktops: Cost Expandability Cost of add-in components Bizarre and proprietary drivers Smaller screen Smaller keyboard For the money, less memory and storage If your requirements dictate that you get a laptop, then you have no choice but to live with the drawbacks. Otherwise, go for a desktop. As others have said, for a simple, affordable computer, go with a Dell. You probably don't need much in the way of customization.
  13. I actually had a 20+ minute ride to altitude in his plane this year. Granted, we had traffic on the way up.... and altitude was 30k.
  14. That all depends on where you lick him.
  15. Thanks! We are excited and a little nervous. Lucy has set the bar really high, as far as both cuteness and behavior. With one dream child, we've been told to expect a little hellion. However, we are hoping our streak continues. Don't know the gender, just that it isn't twins.
  16. 'Skymonkeyone finishing school' - that is a scary thought. Great picture, Nacmac! I have a couple pictures I'll e-mail you, that I can't post on the boards. And Mininac will have another contender in the Trans-Atlantic Cute Baby Smackdown come April.
  17. Yes, I can buy Shiner Bock here. I actually made the mistake of doing so once. It isn't very good beer. Well, honestly, it is overpriced crap beer if you aren't from Texas.
  18. Or Quickdraw.... Doh! Not to mention, I figured Sunshine would WANT to be in the trailer full of guys. Just teasing, Sunshine!
  19. But I'm stalking Skymama. Swap with you, so you can be in a trailer full of guys?
  20. Yeah, right. If I end up in the same trailer as you, I'll trade my spot to the highest bidder, so they watch the nightly nig-noggery.

Yeah, you are going to get flamed. That is moot. That isn't how the system works. People do get dragged into court for dumb reasons and insufficient evidence. That doesn't mean they are criminals. If he was found not guilty, then that is the end of it. The bashing is actually pretty gentle. The reason for it is the attitude and slant of the inquiry, rather than the subject matter. If the questions are leading, with a built-in bias, then they are objectionable. If they had been simple queries as to the facts, a lot less people would be angry. If you notice, the owner of the forums came into the thread, made a comment, but didn't lock or delete the thread. It is completely different. If you actually thought about what you just asked, you would answer your own question. In the case of a trial and "Not Guilty" verdict, in the eyes of the law, they didn't do it. Your rape situation doesn't apply to this discussion. First of all, in your scenario, the guy did it. In this one, nobody is guilty of any crime. The "protect the family" is about sticking up for each other and not letting innocent people be slammed without cause. Nobody is calling for any cover-up of wrongdoings. Just in this case, there appear to be none. Why make a tragedy worse by harping on a victim? Freedom of speech lets you, but common decency says you probably shouldn't.
  22. We don't believe you. We need video. If you'd like a list of positions and camera angles for aforementioned video, one will be provided to you.
  23. That isn't a joke. That is a freakin' nightmare.
