The ultimate hop 'n pop! Blue skies and happy landings!
-
Welcome to the zero defect military. I've seen bad situations where our officer corps was unwilling to do anything for fear those above them would frown on the decision. Talk about flushing effectiveness and morale... Blue skies and happy landings!

I like the seats but do you really think you'd have time for dinner? Let me know when you buy it; I'll come find you to jump it! Blue skies and happy landings!

I think most everyone who does anything risky thinks their sport is less risky than others simply because they understand it. Snowboarding down diamond runs is suicide for the inexperienced but snowboarding's not exactly an extreme sport. It's all about perspective... Blue skies and happy landings!

Mind posting here so we can all benefit, Bonnie? I like the idea of demoing a reserve and, as dumb as I am, there's no way I'll remember who you are to PM you when it happens. Thanks! Blue skies and happy landings!

Count me in! Thanks, Mike, for bringing your plane to Taft this year! Blue skies and happy landings!

That's great! Is it patented or can I use it? Blue skies and happy landings!

My feelings exactly... Blue skies and happy landings!

I've been surfing the DZ.com classifieds and it seems like a lot of rigs have smaller reserves than mains. If you have to chop a main, going to a higher wing loading on a different kind of parachute doesn't make sense (to me). I'd rather go up a little, especially if I'm jumping at a different DZ that's already at a higher altitude than I'm used to. Then again, I'm pretty ignorant about this kind of thing... Blue skies and happy landings!

Congrats! Blue skies and happy landings!

Kudos to you, Kris! Way to go! Blue skies and happy landings!

Forget the economy, you need an option for "No, I think he's a lying, conniving moron." Blue skies and happy landings!

I went from 20/400 to 20/15 in one eye and 20/25 in the other in a total of 32 seconds (21 seconds for one eye, 11 for the other). My wife can now see better without glasses than she ever could with them. Most doctors give free exams to see if you're a viable candidate for LASIK. A key is to ask about follow-up care. Does the doctor who does the surgery do the care or is it a tag team? Try scheduling an appointment and see how difficult it is. Ask whether they sanitize and reuse the blades that cut the flap in your eye. That's a key factor in not getting perfect results. Some doctors try to cut costs by using the same blade for a couple of patients. My ophthalmologist charged a little more than some of the other doctors in the area but he uses all brand new stuff to get the best odds of success he can. How often do they update their laser? Does it have a 3-D tracking system that maps your eye and locks onto it in case you get a little jittery? That's been out for a couple of years so there's no excuse not to have things like that. You definitely want state of the art. Go get it. It'll change your life. Blue skies and happy landings!

Thanks, Andrea. Any other guys care to contribute? Blue skies and happy landings!

A combination of the last two. Blue skies and happy landings!

Bring 'em on! In searching the forum, there a bazillion requests by people looking for ideas for their jumpsuits. Post 'em all and help us all! Cheers! Blue skies and happy landings!

I can't believe this hasn't been done but I've spent an hour looking and can't find it. Yeah, Ivan can probably find it in two minutes but I'm just dumb. Everybody posts a picture of their jumpsuits when they get them. How about a thread of jumpsuit ideas for those of us looking to buy? It's time to show off a little. Let's see what you have; show us your stuff! Thanks! Blue skies and happy landings!

Are those grippers on your freefly suit? How do you like that? Anybody else have this combination? I tend to fall like an anvil so I'm thinking a freefly suit might help me match fall rates with floaty people. True? Blue skies and happy landings!

I don't quite know what to do. I just got home from work. No biggie, I normally do that about this time on weekdays. I walked in, hugged my kids, chatted with them a bit and started wading through the bills and junk mail. The first few things I grabbed went straight to my son to toss in the recycle bin. Then I got an 8.5x11" envelope from Tony Suits. I had requested some info from them, Flight Suit and Michigan Suits a couple months ago so ending up on somebody's mailing list was rather to be expected. I love seeing what wonderful things are out there that I can't afford. I think it's called lust. It was a gift certificate for $365 off a custom jumpsuit. I was speechless. My goofy wife won't fess up as to who was involved but apparently she put a group together to go in on a jumpsuit for me. I love the quote she put at the bottom: Happy birthday from a bunch of people who love you and some who don't. I'm still overwhelmed. I've been checking the DZ.com classifieds so long I think my browser decided to make it my home page to save me some clicking. I figured when I was ready to get a jumpsuit that I'd ask for your input. I guess it's time! Woo hoo!

Don't they now?

Ah, the benefits of knowing NASA folks... Blue skies and happy landings!
