As heinous as indiscriminate mining when pulling out is, I think this is a good thing. My understanding is that signing this would eliminate our ability to use claymores and that's not an option. In either an offensive or defensive role, they're too important a weapon to even consider removing them from our inventory. Blue skies and happy landings!

I don't doubt that it happened. There are some pretty pig-headed recruiters out there. I know a gal who had a Marine recuiter offer her sex for a better MOS. Another guy at MEPS offered his services to young women who were shipping out to basic training. There are a lot of schleps out there who should be canned. Unfortunately, they sometimes end up in positions that offer them control over other people's careers. No different than the civilian sector, really... Blue skies and happy landings!

I'm a leg so you can't say I'm putting anybody down. If the idea is to give everybody berets as a PR move, fine. Just don't force the Rangers to give up their color that they trained, fought and died for to the REMFs. Give the legs the tan and give the black back to the men who earned it. And yes, I do feel passionately about it. I didn't earn it, I shouldn't wear it. Period. Blue skies and happy landings!
