http://www.ricksteves.com/books/spain.htm hehe... listen to Rick. I promise he won't steer you wrong. He also does a "spain and portugal" tour that you might want to consider. A friend of mine went on it and had a wonderful time. She didn't speak spanish, so she wanted to go with a group. http://tours.ricksteves.com/catalog/index.cfm?fuseaction=product&id=675

it is Los Angeles COUNTY that came up with this bit of moronic drivel. not the City. just a clarification.

all I'm saying is that a "goddess" has a very different connotation than a "god." for a woman to call herself a "goddess" of something, it means she brings her own particular flair to something. Check out the "ex at the DZ" thread in the women's forum... another example in the poll there... one of the choices includes something to the effect of "Fly like the Goddess you are!" Also, I feel that personal issues with someone's username belong in private messages, rather than the public forum, and even then, there's no excuse for rudeness.

yep. Click on your "edit" tab in internet explorer, and click on "Find (on this page)" and then type your word. this only searches the page your're on, though. you have to click onto the links and search them too if you want to search them all.

um... Lany...? you forgot the attachment, I think.

Nice! You may want to use frames, so the toolbar doesn't scroll with the page.

what's the text say under "Nascar"? the last word's kinda blurry.

Ron- I didn't say you attacked her or that your comments were inappropriate. if you read the top of my post, it was addressed to swoopy.

Her username probably has nothing to do with the "skygod" thing. for women, the whole "goddess" thing is a huge part of the female subculture. Its simply a "girl power" thing. Can also be used for a woman who's doing something that is usually done by males, or just doing something unusual. My username on a medieval weaponry forum is "Athena" and someone started calling me "Warrior Goddess" and it stuck. I now sign all my posts over there "-WG-" It doesn't mean that I'm the goddess of all weaponry, it means that I'm a woman doing something that is typically done by a man, if at all, and an acknowledgement that that, in and of itself, is a bit of an achievement. A woman calling herself a goddess isn't an ego thing, and it doesn't mean she's saying she's the best there is at doing a particular thing. It really is a chick thing, and its hard to explain. That said, I feel your comments were GROSSLY inappropriate. If you wanted to know about her username, PM her and ask. There's no need to be rude on a public forum.

offer to make the necklaces, but with a charm other than a closing pin. the pin doesn't mean anything to him anyway.

Absolutely not!!!!! Penguins are known to go on vacation to Northern Canuck land with symbols. GAWD! Im i the only one to correct the grammatically challanged? symbols are like this $ or @ or & Cybols-the musical instrument, of the like made by Zildjian Methinks when you correct someone, you ought to keep an eye on your own spelling. I think you meant cymbals rather than cybols.

-
Yes. Penguins and polar bears live on two different continents.

if you read the small print, you have to buy that stuff in 50 yard increments.

could be done... fairly easily. however, it would be VERY expensive.

Renting a car is going to cost you an extra 25-50 Euro per day because you're not 25. I would suggest waiting to travel alone til you're over 25, or going with a friend who's 25. It'll save you lots of money. We ended up paying over 300 euro more than we would have if we were 25 when we rented from Hertz in Ireland, and that seems to be the policy everywhere.

not sure what crease you're talking about. I wear these, and love em... very similar to the student goggles at Perris. A lot of the instructors wear these too.

hmm... the helmet stuff is interesting... could we maybe get a greenie to split the thread?
