hmm... well, you're in California... think about making a trip down to the wind tunnel. It's way cheaper than repeating AFF levels over and over. I haven't used it myself, but I know Perris puts their students in the tunnel, especially when they're having problems. As always, ask your instructors before taking any advice you find here. That said, if your body is not symmetrical, you're displacing more air on one side or the other, and you'll turn. You may want to get video on your next jump, so you can see exactly what you're doing.

yesterday, I was sitting out on the grass at Elsinore and saw something scary... someone off student status, but not licensed yet (doing solos) punched a hard toggle turn at approx 1200 feet. This induced line twists, and he chopped pretty low. I had a couple of questions... how much toggle input is too much? what makes a canopy get line twists like that, and how does one prevent it? I did a high alti hop n pop yesterday and was playing with my canopy pretty agressively, but I didn't have any line twist problems.

:1:1 1 jump, first one in a month...YAY!!! 1st high altitude hop n pop, beer owed, saving it up for boogie. Sky was beautiful! I saw the sunset over Lake Elsinore, and the sky was all misty, and I had to just pause for a moment and think...WOW! got to play with my canopy and learn flat turns and worked on front and rear riser turns too.

I've had really good luck with Norton Anti-Virus. not the other stuff, just the AV. They're really good about keeping it updated.

California is a lot more spread out than Japan, especially in the city areas. Most people in California HAVE to drive a car to get to where they need to be. For example, my old job was ten miles from the Irvine metrolink station. My office was directly behind the bus depot. BUT...the busses did not go to the train station! go figure. the only way I could get to work was to drive (although I did carpool). -

hey, I take the train every day to work. I wouldn't have any impact at all on a gas boycott, because I use about 1 tank a month, if that. -
My 80 year old Catholic grandmother just sent me an email regarding this. I believe "moron" was the most polite of the terms she used for the Bishop in question. ROFLMAO! my email back to her- "Grandma- I must say I am quite shocked at your email. I am surprised at your choice of words to describe the Bishop. YOU ROCK! Love, Kris"

you'd be better off showering with a garden hose then... salt water is icky on your skin when it dries, plus the salt will dry your skin out so it will itch very badly. Perhaps the DZ will let you camp? do they have a shower?
-
HELL NO. I think most civilians don't belong in combat zones. they simply aren't trained for it.
-
is there any way you can wear a cotton glove liner under your latex gloves to protect your skin and help it breathe? caladryl lotion (the clear kind!) helps with the itch.

the most reasonable idea I heard was "don't buy gas from exxon/mobile" because if nobody buys their stuff, they have to lower their prices to attract business back, and then the other companies will have to lower their prices to remain competitive. -
go to your local Longs Drugs, if you have one, and buy Arizona Natural cold medicine. It's at other stores too, but I don't know which ones. You have to take it every three hours, but it works WONDERS. I've given it to friends, and half an hour later, they're looking at me and saying "what is that stuff and where can I get more???"

lol. in case you were serious, saltwater sucks for bathing. leaves an itchy layer of salt on your skin.

address to send cards?

no, actually, highth was the original form of the word. its been bastardized into "height" over the centuries.
-
highth is a word--- its just spelled differently. people like to put an extra E in it (hEighth) which is wrong. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=highth

SFW?? -
my dad once walked around for two hours looking for his sunglasses, when they were up on his forehead. none of us had the heart to tell him. Finally, he walked into the bathroom, still searching, and looked in the mirror. a shout of "ACK! Why didn't anyone TELL me?!!!!" reverberated through the house. I don't think the laughter truly stopped for several more hours.
-
yup. no problem. I'm at work, so it may take me a few hours to get back to you.

pay for the trainer... once a month. have him/her set up a workout for you to follow that month, and the next time you see them, you can change things up and modify whatever you need. I did that for a year or so, and it was wonderful!
-
LOL! That's exactly what I've been trying to get across! There are some things that must be taken on faith (the whole son of god thing, for starters), and others, such as historical events, that can be documented in other ways.
-
it's a start.

hmm... you're right. that outline makes no sense. I'd start by working on your literature review, since you have to put that in somewhere. start out by finding patterns in the literature... what do the main authorities agree on? what do they disagree on? and go from there.

what's the length required? and is this for a graduate level class or undergrad?
