I was taught the five second rule as you explained it. What I was told on my level 6 was that if you: 1. lose altitude awareness 2. lose stability 3. lose mental composure (freak) for more than five seconds, PULL.

oh! Then she can go to AIM.com and click on AIM Express, which is on the toolbar to the left of the screen. It will let you access the AIM service when you can't download the software.

ok. in internet explorer (web browser), click on "Tools" at the top of the screen. next. click on "internet options" in the tools menu. That will open a box. In the box, click on the "connections" tab at the top of the box. Then, click on the box that says "LAN settings" and click on "Advanced". Write down the proxy server address and port number. Next, go into AOL Instant Messager. Play around with the tabs until you find where you can put in that info. Probably under "connections" or "options" or something like that. AIM should work then. Sorry I can't find the exact stuff in AIM to click on, I don't have the program here.

you can configure AIM (dunno bout other IMs) to work around a proxy... you just have to know your proxy settings (in internet explorer under tools/internet options/connections/lan settings AIM has a way to configure it to work through your proxy...I think its in "settings" or something. You have to put in the port numbers, and then it will work. and to get the program there in the first place, if you're having trouble downloading it, just download it at home or kinkos or something and put it on a CD or disk. I'm sorry, I'm not a techie, so I don't know the right words for it all, but that's basically how you do it.

I'd put the rig before the jumpsuit, because if you want to match your colors, its cheaper to buy the used container first and then get the suit to match. I kept borrowing student suits and demo suits til I got my rig, then ordered my suit to match.

I can reach my slider better if I collapse it before unstowing the toggles...plus, that way, you don't have to worry about toggles in your hands while you're messing with the slider. only takes a second. As soon as I open, I look around and make sure there's nobody else around, and then go for the slider. I jumped a rig from Square1 where I couldn't reach the slider, not because the risers were too long, but because the main lift web was too long.
