YAY SPARKY! YAY EVERYONE WHO'S QUIT! I've watched my dad and my brother quit smoking. It certainly isn't easy, and I admire everyone who's been able to do it!

whether she was cheating or not... if you can't trust her (and obviously you don't feel you can), she isn't the right person for you.

I don't support the war, but I do support our troops. I have several close friends over there, and they get sent a letter from me literally every single day. Sometimes I send little gifts. I think the most appreciated was the boxes of girl scout cookies. LOL. If any of you know a soldier over there, please write to them, tell them that you care and that they aren't forgotten and that their efforts and intent are appreciated, even if you don't agree with the current administration's goals over there. My friends tell me it means the world. -
cordura. my first landing in my new suit (poly-cotton booties) I put a hole in the bootie. Wish I'd spent the extra for cordura. and yes, zippers are very convenient. I'm quite glad I got them. I just got the 12" ones, and they're great.

a good plan in theory. not so good in practice. what happens if a couple marries in Massachusetts and then moves to Texas. Are they still married?

hmm. its a she. lets see.... lemme think on it... Edit: How bout Artemis? if she's that well fed, she's obviously a good hunter (even if she's merely hunting for people to feed her) and Artemis is the goddess of the hunt. -
a lot of my conservative friends are pissed about this proposed amendment. their attitude: outlaw gay marriage, but don't f-ing touch the constitution. The issue simply isn't important enough to amend our nation's most precious document.

Standing Ovation???? LOL Sparky, you rock! Glad you're ok.

Nope. If you have one guy named Jones, the phrase would be "Jones' dog" but if you have multiple people named Jones, it would be "the Joneses' dog"

hehe... it feels like... WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! -
now you're getting into nature vs. nurture. how do you explain a family with six kids, five upstanding citizens, and the sixth in jail for murder? same parents, same environment.

Kelly's right. Davises- Plural Davis' - Possessive Davises' - Plural Possessive Nouns ending in s, z, ch, sh, and x Nouns with these letters at the end call for an "es" in the plural form. This added syllable makes pronunciation easier. For the possessive form of plural nouns ending in "s," add only an apostrophe to the plural form of the noun: Singers' voices The cousins' favorite uncle

I hope someone other than the USA. We've hosted too often recently and need to learn to share. I vote for London '04 is in Athens, Greece '06 is in Turin, Italy '08 is in Beijing, China '10 is in Vancouver, Canada The US has hosted the olympics three times in the past 20 years (salt lake 02, Atlanta 96, and Los Angeles 84) Spain hosted in 92 (Barcelona, summer) France hosted in 92 (Albertville, winter) Russia last hosted in 1980 England last hosted in 1948.

I don't condone their actions. BUT, I understand what drove them to it. Those of us who were mentally tortured in school understand the anger, the hatred, the dread of going to school, and the fear of what your classmates are going to do to you next. That kind of stress can do strange things to the human psyche. Some of us have support mechanisms in place and are equipped to handle it. Others, obviously, are not. edited to add: to quote DrunkMonkey: I can understand their rage, just not how they chose to vent/express it...

I read his post too... I can empathize with every word. edited to add: he's not the one who needs counselling. Those freaks who tormented him do.

Perris's rule (what I was told by the instructors in my FJC) is that if you don't like the landing direction that's been set, you're welcome to land whichever way you feel is appropriate, but you'd better do it way the heck east of everyone else so you're not in the pattern and going the wrong way.

didn't he just fix a door in another thread??

I'd do it. there isn't much stuff on the planet that grosses me out...my mom was a science teacher. always bringing home strange critters. my bro and I had a pet tarantula, disected our first frogs at age 4, and helped mom's classes study invertebrates by seeking out planaria worms in pond scum. We also snacked on chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers and occasionally were treated to tequila worm lollypops.

I got that email too, and I've never corresponded with ANYONE about a vigil. I bought my gear used and it included a cypres, so no need to AAD shop at all.
