    B.A.S.E. Demo

Hey... that looks like fun. The demo link isn't active. Owned by Remi #?
  2. 1. Ouch, ow ow ow. That had to hurt 2. She didn't get stuck in a gap, she fell down and couldn't get up. An obstacle course wouldn't have helped if she hadn't lost her footing in it like she did in the cave. 3. WTF was she thinking anyway? Owned by Remi #?
  3. Take a look at the link I posted. There are pretty detailed instructions for using RP with the iPod there. Owned by Remi #?
  4. I can access my reserve risers without opening my reserve pack job. Owned by Remi #?
  5. Try updating to the latest version of RP. As far as I know, that's compatible with the iPod. If not, burn your stuff to CD then import it to the IPod Edit to add instructions from Real: http://service.real.com/realplayer/support.html?section=iPodRPinstall Owned by Remi #?
  6. First you say the low canopy sets the pattern, then you dance off into the idea that there are multiple patterns. C'mon, man. Grab the beverage of your choice and listen to the people here who have the experience to comment. I'm not one of the people with the experience, but I'll offer my own advice as a "grasshopper" here: Stop trying to figure out how to pick apart / avoid individual mistakes and let these guys share and teach the big picture about staying safe. 7. No pun intended? Owned by Remi #?
  8. I didn't intend any gender superiority debate. My time in the Navy predates yours by 10 years. Maybe it was worse then, maybe the environment I was in had a particularly bad culture. Owned by Remi #?
  9. That's where the "some don't" act that way part comes in. Owned by Remi #?
  10. Well put again. Owned by Remi #?
  11. Oh hell no. I guess I should have qualified that remark with the information that I was basing it on personal experience from my time in the Navy, which is pretty ancient history. Some of the guys I worked with were comfy sharing a ship with women. Most treated us just the way Amazon characterized. Owned by Remi #?
  12. What does that have to do with the observation that there are no where near as many available since the first batch went over the 12 year mark? Owned by Remi #?
  13. I think some guys do, but most don't. You worded that very well. Owned by Remi #?
  14. That's what PD recommends. The USPA SIM also recommends using the toggles. Have you looked at the SIM yet? AggieDave is 100% right that you should ask your instructors first and foremost, though. Owned by Remi #?
  15. You lucked out big time. That type of transfer should be done in a cleanroom with the proper calibration tools only. A speck of dust can waste a platter. Owned by Remi #?
  16. I'm ummmm..... very discrete. I promise Owned by Remi #?
  17. I have access to some of the same gear ontrack uses and I won't charge anything. Owned by Remi #?
  18. I had no idea that USPA was a 33 y/o male. Wouldn't it have made more sense to create a group? Owned by Remi #?
  19. The theory behind that it that it may cause problematic parts to contract because they're cold. There's a small chance it will work, but you wouldn't want to let the drive warm up first, you'd want to put it in cold. Edit to add: The expansion when the drive warms back up can damage the drive even further, so I'd only try that as a last, last resort. Owned by Remi #?
  20. The problem seems to be that mixing men and women will "adversely effect unit cohesion." Sound familiar? Owned by Remi #?
  21. I have 2 friends, both USNA grads, both just a few years shy of the 20 year mark, both having served in OEF and OIF theaters in combat billets several times, who resigned their commisions (after being stop-lossed for a while) because they didn't think they could serve and keep themselves morally balanced any longer. I havea lot of respect for them. They more than fulfilled their obligations and they sacrifced their retirements on principal. Owned by Remi #?
  22. I have no problem at all with anyone who decides to refuse to go with full knowledge that they're breaking their contract and are willing to face the consequences. It's just no good to whine about it being "unfair" Owned by Remi #?
  23. Other than that this little spat you guys have been having about booze and gum started out with a discussion about whether or not 18 year olds were old enough to understand what a legally binding contract really means, right? Or did you forget how it started? Owned by Remi #?
  24. You say "the point is that the jets were not even scrambled as is the normal procedure" Are you claiming that this is proof of government involvement? It might be if you also assume that the government never fucks up But... if the government never fucks up then where did all this juicy evidence you have that proves government involvment come from? Owned by Remi #?
  25. So then we all agree that in the US, an 18 year old can legally sign a military enlistment contract and be bound to fulfill that contract? Owned by Remi #?
