How about the balloon jumps? Should we be prepared to land out? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Yeah, I know, but having only jumped in warm weather I'm really concerned about jumping in weather that's colder than so cal. I would not survive in Alaska . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Yeah, I'm definately layering, 3 sets if thermals and a turtleneck. Just have heard about how cold it can be so want to be prepared. Want to get in as many jumps as I can, not sitting out cuz I'm too cold to jump. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Yes, I have a full face helmet and good gloves, but since I was born and raised in sunny so cal and have never jumped anywhere else I'm not used to cold weather jumping and am really concerned about staying warm. I'm a total wuss when it comes to cold weather. Thanks for your input. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Trying to come up with ways to stay warm while jumping at Eloy. Have several layers of different types of thermal undergarments, but came up with an idea in addition to that. There are these pad things, made to use for sore muscles. You activate them and they heat up and stay warm for 8 hours. They are thin and they make them to go on your back, stomach, knees, elbows, etc. So I'm thinking I could buy them all and put them all over my body and it would probably keep me warm. But I'm concerned that could the friction from the air while in freefall possibly cause them to heat up to extreme temperatures to the point of burning me? I don't know how they work but have visions of being in freefall and burning up...YIKES! I doubt that would happen but I tend to overthink things and envision the worst case scenario. So what do ya think? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Hi Rosa, I'm going to go to Sports Chalet tomorrow to buy under armor. Yeah, I didn't like the fit on the UA I tried on because it had a mock turtleneck and I felt like it was choking me. I was talking to Erin at Elsinore a couple weeks ago and she had just bought a UA shirt, and she felt the same way I did about the fit, so she bought a size bigger and said she keeps pulling on the neck to stretch it out and it's working okay. I love See's candy. We've already gone through two boxes and are working on our third. Then once we finish that off we've got a box of Godiva chocolates waiting to be opened . Thank goodness my coworkers love chocolate too

So sorry you had a bad experience, but I can totally relate. I was never a great skier, but found snowboarding much easier than skiing. Started snowboarding with my daughter about 5 years ago and love it. For me snowboarding was much easier than skiing. But my husband, who is a really good skier, decided to try snowboarding with me. We spent the entire day on the bunny slope, he could not stay up. Very frustrating for both of us. So now he sticks to skiing and my daughter and I snowboard. Awww, Jeannie, don't ya know the best way to work off the night before party is to jog the next morning! Always works for me . Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I'm planning to jog in the morning, and yeah I can slap on my headphones and jog alone, which is what I normally do, but figure if I can line up some jogging partners I won't be as tempted to roll over and sleep instead of getting up and jogging. So who's with me? I will be there 27th - 30th. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

So sorry for your loss. A friend of mine died of a heart attack last year and we were all really sad that he died so young at 50. Can't imagine someone dying of a heart attack at 28. That really sucks! Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I usually have the intention of sending in for rebates, but usually don't get around to it, but if it's a big one like the $100 rebate from Aerodyne for new canopies, then I will make an extra effort to send it in. I did and am waiting for my $100 rebate. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

Dear God, Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another? Dear God, When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it the same old story? Dear God, Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We dogs love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler Beagle'? Dear God, If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog? Dear God, We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent IDs, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand? Dear God, More meatballs, less spaghetti, please. Dear God, When we get to the Pearly Gates, do we have to shake hands to get in? Dear God, Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize? Dear God, Let me give you a list of just some of the things I must remember to be a good dog: - I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it or after they throw it up. - I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell. - I will not munch on "leftovers" in the kitty litter box; although they are tasty, they are not food. - The diaper pail is not a cookie jar. - The sofa is not a face towel; neither are Mom and Dad's laps. - The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff. - My head does not belong in the refrigerator. - I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for Mom's driver's license and registration. - I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet. - Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is not an acceptable way of saying 'hello.' - I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table. - I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house. - I will not throw up in the car. - I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet. - The cat is not a squeaky toy; so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing. Dear God, May I have my testicles back? Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I'm waiting for one of my coworkers to get back from a meeting, then I'm taking him to lunch for his birthday and we're going for Mexican food. A place that has hand made tortillas and great burritos. You chose which kind of meat, which kind of beans, which kind of sauce, and they put sour cream and guacamole on top. And they are HUGE, I get 3 meals out of one . Umm...now I'm getting hungry, hope he gets back soon

There was this fellow who worked for the Post Office whose job it was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day a letter came to his desk, addressed in a shaky handwriting to God. He thought, "Oh boy, better open this one and see what it's all about." So he opened it and read: "Dear God, I am an 83 year old widow living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100.00 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension check. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?" The postal worker was touched, and went around showing the letter to all the others. Each of them dug into his wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96.00, which they put into an envelope and sent over to her. The rest of the day, all the workers felt the warm glow of the kind thing they had done. Christmas came and went. A few days later another letter came from the old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read, "Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was $4 missing. I think it must have been those thieving bastards at the Post Office." Boxer crunches - Lay on back with knees up and bent (like sittig in a chair). Like a regular crunch but go in a circular motion as you do the crunch, go to the right, up, left and down. Leg lifts - lay on your back, then come up onto your elbows, lift both legs up to a 45 degree angle, hold, then down to 6" above the ground, hold. There are a lot of other good lower ab exercises, but these are the ones where I feel it the most. Good luck! Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller
