From what I can tell you guys did a great job. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up to you guys. I should be getting the videos up in a day or two. I thought maybe I would have a film by 11, but no such luck... I got distracted. Ck again tommrow and you should find some clips there. My thing is these films are so very great that its hard to finger what to cut out. Therefore, my finished clips are quite large. Quade tells me this and that but sometimes it doesnt translate very well. So anyway, I believe I will take the best manovers of the teams and have a highlight reel. I will post when it is up. Well- Let me say this. Sorry I missed that event!! If not only to have seen Goat and Raymond again. Plus Deva and even more people I havent seen in a long while. I am now editing the film and gosh what a bunch of good talent we have here. My congradulations go out to Kimmie and ?her boyfriend. A very nice skydive that won them 1st place. You guys totally look like you are having a blast on your skydives. Thats awesome. Way to go. The best exit count goes out to Goat - Nice smile and I love your super secret signals. Also I noticed Goat, that you are very fluid these days. Very nice. Great 3way with Deva, I like that one alot. Deva is Movin for sure. You Go Girl.!!!! Film credits have to go out to Smith & Moffett for good shots on the competitive films. Also, Raymond and Ramon have great clips of the big way. Good job to all of those who made it in. I am pretty sure at this point that I have at least 2 good stills from film to post of the big way. The only thing that would have made that one better is if there would have been a sunset. But classic Summer 2002 footage for sure. I have to say that the big way, for only trying it once, was outstanding. Everyone worked together for a good safe round with streamers. Big two thumbs up on that skydive. Great togetherness on exit as well. As I sit here, the critic by film - I must say that everyone clearly had a great time in the air. The competition was just really full of great talent. Thanks Gravity Rats for the great event and everyone for the film I lifted off of Levin. I will have some of these clips up over on Cyberskydive later on. I have a video vault over there. I have several I need to get up there of footage I took in combination with other clips. So later on for those who didnt get to see some of the highlights the film will be there later. However, Levin swooping the cows wont be there - I believe that one is a money shot. Watch for that one on a 'reality' show. It is damn hiliarious. Levin doesnt yell too often. I only heard him yell one other time to Tommy who was 1/2 a mile away almost. Hey Little Vikie, WhasSup? I like them, generally speaking. And I dont care for cars too much. The pepole shot- like the dude with the flag, God Shot! but more of subject matter, excellent, more centered and more of car.... possible the driver in that shot or a lowered you and a higher subject, If possible get on knees for this one. I like this one alot. Shows the heat of the moment.... That is the one people will stick on for a minute. To see What? What is he doing, green flag = Go? He will be run over, or does he mean go right after he gets the dirt off the windshield or is this a pit dude? Still gonna get run over. =Good picture tells a story, sorta .... Wonder what the driver is doing, looking over his shoulder to see who is coming or is he in the Pole Position and is set to fly outta there. Could some be sharper.... (maybe these are scanned?) Ordinarily I had to shot slides. The VW is good I think more action in this picture would make it outstanding. Like more dirt and less front ... Same with the Saturn*** The red, wht, and lt blue car? Dunno what lens your are useing or how far, but you have got the shutter speed down and film. ... On the blue car with the dudes in the garage. Ignore them and get on one knee and still have dudes in frame, by this time they will look at your happy ass, focus and shot, say Hi and scram. ( a little more car and less trash can) Then that shot is perfect. You got it going on Vike, I think you have done really well conserving film and picking the shots to take. I was lucky -like you- I worked in a camera store and had all the pros coming in and I got ideas from them. I worked in a Prof Camera store. Like Carl Zeisse, Hasselblahs and viewfinder stuff. Your subject is moving. Therefore you may have shots with more in front of the car than you do in back. If you had more of the back of the car you wouldnt have a shot at all. You would have missed it. Follow me? Me- I shot ramp skaters and surfers cause thats where I was anyway. At first the ramp skaters hated me. #1 - I was a girl. #2 I was a girl. #3 I wasnt Local. I am working on my video of Chris - I admit I had trouble getting to it. Here are some frames from the video. This one is as we are boarding the plane for my 100th jump a 13 way crazy campfire. I was happy and nervous. I think that is why Chris hung with me. This picture is not good quality - but good quality subject matter. Chris blocks the wind in the door for me. I just did a low pass with flower release and it was great also. I was alone on the plane and long story - arm got the door shut on it. I left it there for a while.
