Chrome- (all good advice here) As a rule, I dont jump with anyone that I dont know. I have done most of my jumps solo. I am usually working on something. It isnt hard to find out who is good and who is backflying and corking all over creation ~ If you hang out long enough you will see film. Then at that point dont let them get below you. Stay beside them always. A good idea is a train or gorilla exit to keep together for at least the top half of the skydive. But not too close. If you get to the point of -Here we are in the Door- You had better done your homework on their skills in combination to your skills. If it aint right- back away to a safe distance on the same level. When shyt goes wrong - It goes wrong real fast in skydiving. Add to that freeflying speeds... For ME personally --It goes like this ---Be damn sure you are good -both mental and physical, be sure you are historically stable and most importantly that you have the keen ability to get the hell out of the way for 2 reasons. 1 - so you wont die 2 - so you wont mess up a certain persons formation and then your happy ass doesnt get asked back on any more big ways. Skydive Machine: Maroon Izuzu Rodeo LS... Big enough for one Great Dane, One Toy Rat Terrier, One Shih Tzu and all their toys and gear, plus my skygear... (for one), maybe two. I usually cruise solo. Since I think the Spring of this year, Goat and his Dallas crew have been holding monthly practices for the bigway Freefly record. I believe its in June... but I am making this up right now cause I am too lazy to ck the website. Anyway....... The Gravity Rats of San Marcus held a FreeFly event last weekend and they got a good big way together. (of which is on the film I did) Most all of the skydivers involved where at least challenged by this as it was a one time only attempt in San Marcus by the folks who happened to be there for their cool event. The most of these freeflyers are DropZone.com members. Goat Levin- on video, yet in formation Ramon- on video, not in formation 78Rats IMGR2 Gravityrat4 ... I hope I didnt miss any dz.com members but I bet I did.. Raymond Adams of the ParaPerformance Tour fame (Dallas too) Kimmie and Paul of San Marcus (who took 1st place) The video takes a minute to load, be patient and wait for it. Here it is SportzFanz...... Film footage provided by Levin, Ramon and Raymond Adams in that order. There are 3 clips. Levin's view is upclose, Ramons is the most complete view that actually shows the second when everyone is docked. (I will take a still from that) Then the last clip shows the great exit by Raymond so I put it last. Maybe I should have stuck with the close to most outside view last, but I think it works. The music I picked works I think, the words go... "I think we are going to make it....." So, I put it in. Its Feeder and the song name is New Car. I think the ending says it all. It was a great jump. I like putting a good ending to my films..... I hope you guys like it... I will get it over to Ann's Video Vault as quick as I can. The file size is about 24,128 KB, thats the smallest I could get it. I went thru 4 programs today finding the best one. That is why it took so long... Sorry!! In addition, I recently used up 19GB of space with videos. Its easily done. Therefore, for more sweet film I must get a bigger hard drive. I am watching it using Windows Media Player on my system. FF.Levin, FF.Ramon, FF.Zak, FF.Ann, etc...... and then the file FF.Ann.Zak.Lev.Bud.Trent My favorite file has got to be GoodOnes it contains jpgs named 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 to infinity.................
