I've had great luck with Reflexes, but have only ever packed one Racer and probably wouldn't pack another before I got some REAL training on how to do it well. My gut feeling is I won't have the opportunity to get that kind of training without moving to a DZ that is more Racer-populous. Elvisio "the space phone is ringing" Rodriguez

Why couldn't my last name have been McGillicuddy?

Maybe... Phil McGroin? Elvisio "too much eggnog" Rodriguez -
We have separate email accounts, but we each know the other's password. I don't log onto hers, and as far as I know she doesn't log onto mine. It's kinda like how one of us leaves the bathroom while the other pees. We're close enough that we are comfortable sharing all our secrets, but at the same time we're ALSO close enough that we don't NEED to know each other's secrets. Make sense? Or too much beer this evening? Elvisio "celebrating" Rodriguez

Dude, WHERE CAN I GET A REAL SET OF THOSE MAGNETS! I haven't seen any since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, but for some reason I have the strangest JONES for some right now... Elvisio "been a while since I went to ToysRUS" Rodriguez

I checked out the other fridges, same thing happenin' there too. Guess there's just assholes (them) with nothing better to do than screw with the OTHER people (us) with nothing better to do... Elvisio "magnets are fun" Rodriguez

It's like a mini dz.com party in there! Of the 34 people on the fridge, how many are dotcommers????

Music Downloading...where can I download LEGALLY?
skydiver30960 replied to mouth's topic in The Bonfire
BIG 'ol BUMP! I was looking at iTunes (n.b. I'm NOT on a Mac) and noticed that they're pushing their own player. Question is: will iTunes downloads work with other players and such? Do they download as MP3, or some wacky file that only the iTunes player will recognize? Thanky thanky; Elvisio "want new tunes" Rodriguez -
Awright, an early WELCOME to the neighborhood. I'm a couple hours away from DC but the gf's friends and families are there so I get to hang there once in a while. Most of the important stuff has been covered already in this thread: cost of living and traffic will be quite a bit greater than you're used to, but there's SOOOOO much to do in the area that it can be worth it. And although Orange already has a couple votes, I'm going to put in another one. I started jumping there this spring after moving into the area and have been having a BLAST ever since. December 15 is SOON! Good to hear it. Drop me a line when you get in the neighborhood... Elvisio "more orangeheads!" Rodriguez

And at least it proves they were actually playing, instead of more of that Ashley Simpson shit... hmmm... haven't heard much about HER since that incident, huh? Too bad... Elvisio "missed the show" Rodriguez

I spent six years in the bustling METROPOLIS that is Cynthiana KY. 6,000 people in town, and another 6,000 spread throughout the county. When I first got there, it was my first job after college graduation and after a couple months my mom came to visit to do the "look at how all grown up her little boy is" thing. The weekend goes fine, and the next week I'm in the local grocery store and the cashier (who I have NEVER met in my life before that day) looks up, smiles, and asks me: "So, what did your mother think of Cynthiana?" Any misconceptions I had about small-town privacy were GONE after that day. Elvisio "out of the frying pan and into the fire" Rodriguez

Dunno if this is a hijack, but... I seem to recall this is the system in other countries. I don't know much about it, honestly can't even recall what countries have this policy. I seem to recall that your service was after high-school but before college. The good for the country was that there was adequate military contribution, and the good for the citizen was that the high school brat got a couple years of discipline and time out of the nest before heading off to college. SO, seeing as this is an international forum: Is anyone here from a country with such a policy? What is the general attitude WRT it in your neck of the woods? OK Wildcard... You don't know who I am but I know where you live... We'll see if you're singing the same song next time I see you at Orange! Elvisio "VT class of '97" Rodriguez

I was thinking you meant LodeRunner. Oh, how many hours of my could-have-been productive young life were wasted on that one? I used to have PQ, KQ One to I dunno how many, but my parents wouldn't let me get Leisure Suit Larry. Dammit, even then computer games were too racy for them! A couple years ago my mom dropped our old Apple IIE with all the goodies (512K ram, dual disk drives, mouse, joystick, COLOR printer, monitor) on the curb for the garbage man. She said she went to get the mail an hour later and EVERYTHING had been snatched up. I like to think that somewhere my old Apple has gotten a new life. As what, I have NO idea... 3.) Turn the Page by Metallica. I know, I know, I know the whole "true Metallica fan vs. poser fan" argument and I'm not worried. Segar does it well, they do it well, just in a different way. 2.) Shout 2000 by Disturbed. That song will double my pulse rate no matter what's going on. and... 1.) Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. Awesome song, with just the right mix of the old and the new. How to piss off credit card companies and get away with it.
skydiver30960 replied to leroydb's topic in The Bonfire
There was a GREAT thread here a while ago about this. It talked about how you didn't even need to fit it in the envelope, that if you just taped the envelope to whatever you wanted the bastards to have to pay postage for (a brick, one guy said he'd sent old truck tire rims, anything up to 72 (iirc)pounds) and drop it off at the local post office. I thought this would be a BLAST. But I had a question that never got answered on that one: if I sent them a cinderblock and the USPS spent all the money and effort to deliver it, did the credit card company HAVE to pay the postage, or could they just refuse that particular "piece of mail" and stick it to the USPS instead of themselves? EDIT: the thread was called Postage Paid Envelope REVENGE! if anyone is interested... Elvisio "havin fun stuffin' envelopes though" Rodriguez
