Sounds like a great idea to me, but you'll have to get all DZs to buy into the idea, otherwise the wannabe skygods who get frustrated will just go to a non-affiliated DZ to jump their tiny canopies.

Simple question inspired by a thread in the Incidents forum. Have you thought about what hight you'd go straight for your reserve in the event of an aircraft emergency? Personally, I've always said 2k or below, but I've a feeling that most people will be lower than that. Will PS: This is one of my nightmare scenarios... Can't practice for it, just hope that everyone stays cool -
I wouldn't have thought you'd have a lot of time to track from 2000? It's probably be better to let the airspeed sort out your separation rather than exiting, tracking and then opening...

I wasn't scared on my first S/L jump either... I was to exited to be jumping out of an aeroplane to be scared.

Penfold used to say 'Chief' or 'DM'... he never called him Dangermouse Nero was always my fave tho I'm probably not going to be able to make it for the whole weekend - gotta show my face at the BCPA event... unless we go to Hib [hint hint] EDIT: Bollocks. I knew that weekend sounded familiar. Can't make it guys. Just remembered - Gotta go to a wedding Maybe next time.

Are you having a laugh??? maybe landing on rear risers shouldn't be done just off student status or something, but it's a survival skill. It's very different landing with rear risers than just playing with them at 2 grand. This is something everyone should be able to do.... Will

determine by testing???? So if someone with 150 jumps tries to jump a HP canopy and spanks in, they're obviously not ready for it?????? Sounds like Darwinism to me. While restrictions like this will put me in a bind (I won't be able to jump my canopy), I tell myself that all the people who've signed that letter have so many more jumps and seen so many more accidents than I have, that it just ain't funny. They wouldn't do this just for a laugh.. I guess they've just got fed up of seeing people bounce...

Hi all, after reading too many threads about people hurting themselves after progressing 'too fast', I'm seriously considering retiring my Sabre 135 and getting a 150 and really learning to wring the crap out of that... I've currently got a Teardrop Superfly container that holds my Sabre that I bought second hand - does anyone know if it will be possible to put a 150 into it or if work is possible to make the container larger if not? Thanks Will

There are dz's outside of the London area.. it's just the state of denial that all Southerners are always in that nothing exists above the Watford Gap! Nethers is a long way south, especially for those north of the border! It'll suck if it ends up as dz.com uk mini boogie (southerns)

Right, In abscence of Macca's thread about the boogie, here's one - just to get an idea of where people would like to go... For me, preferably somewhere central(ish), that has a bar, and ideally a nice plane... oh, I suppose accomodation would be a bonus...
