heh! did you notice that the BPA solely attributed the drop in membership to the 'poor weather' we had this year - apparently it was nothing to do with the 160% increase in fees over 2 years!

That's v. cool, if a possible contendor for a Darwin award! We just used to use a tub of dry ice to chill our beers - 10 seconds later - Beer-Lollies!

I think so... I'm in the same boat. there may be some leeway for a little, but I wouldn't bet on it. -
I use a cheapo snowboarding helmet now rather than forking out the best part of £200 fvor a new helmet. The padding and impact protection feels more than adequte - especially compared to my old 2K FF1. Watch out for snag points! i had to snap off and file down a couple of pointy plastic things on the side that were supposed to be for air vents. A decent file and some gaffer tape worked wonders.

Just as negative as posting "I fly a TROLL" or similar. I'm not suggesting not posting advice, simply that there's no need to put whether or not you think someone is trolling - especially not multiple times in a single thread. I agree completely!

Guys, if you think someone is a troll, how about just ignoring them rather than posting 'TROLL' or some other snide comment. You could be wrong and are just insulting someone who wants an answer... see here for an example. Just ignore them.

I think that was definately in the minds of the committee - IIRC they've increased the distance for predeclared landings for CH2 to 30m as well to try and emphasise just that. It seems like a lot of thought and teaching will go into showing the student how to plan a safe canopy ride from their first jump and to do it religiously every time, and to try to teach they that they can land on the whole dz... not just aim for the cross. -
These pants are the ultimate for swooping. Swoop pants that are like no other out there! Features Our Swwop pants are made out of Tasalan with a cordura or Ballistic material covering the butt, knees and hips. The knees and butt can also be padded. Just like our freefly suits they contain a spandex crotch piece and also have either a spandex or cordura pocket that is perfect for storing a removable bag and pilot chute. A buckle at the front ensures a snug fit. The Swoop Pants are available in either ¾ length (the leg does down to the mid-shin) or full length with a spandex ankle cuff and optional stirrup. You also have your choice of three different cuts: our regular Straight Style, Surf Style, or Fast Style with a narrow leg. As with all of our suits personalized artwork is available. We can optionally add a "jeans" style pocket for a more casual look. -
Our freefly pants are made the same way as our freefly suits and contain an elastic waistband in the back of the pants with a bungee chord and chord stops to add tightness at the waist. They are available in both the standard Straight Cut as well as the new Dave Brown style. We can optionally add a “jeans” style pocket for a more casual look. -
This suit is unlike any other tunnel suit out there. It is very light and compact and is made from rip stop processed zero porosity material. Features Our tunnel suits feature Velcro covering the entire zipper and stirrups for both the hands and the ankles. The lining can be either a nylon 2 ply tasalan or mesh. The suit is form-fit to the body with a wide straight cut for the legs. Even though this suit has less drag than most of the other tunnel suits out there it still provides an amazing amount of lift. This is one very high performance suit
