My job sucks sweaty goat testicles. I was led to believe, during my interview/immediate hiring meeting, that I would be working as a network engineer. Once I was hired on, I found out that I would actually be answering phones for 8 hours from people who refuse to listen/learn/take responsibility for their actions/remember that no power in their house means that their computer won't work either and think that I should be able to wave a magic wand to fix all their worldly woes. Glad you like it! It was a fun jump, even if I biffed my landing. Came in too high and only had a small space to land in. Landed on target, but at the cost of a bruised coccyx. Okay, I have to chime in here. Bobcats and Lynx are absolutely NOT what you want for household pets. They tend to be the most intractable of the smaller feral cats, meaning their instincts are damn near impossible to overcome. I trained three of them and came to work one day to find that two of them had killed the third, their sister. They also ate a significant portion of her remains. They are not designed for household living. I was totally enthralled with that movie. It truly did have everything, including a Kirosawa-esque feel to the revenge plot. I'm buying myself and everyone I know a copy when it comes out. Now, did anyone see Bubbu Ho-Tep? I'm a HUGE Bruce Campbell fan and it never showed in this area. Ah, see what happens when you don't read a thread THOROUGHLY? Good choice. When I was in school, there was no worse punishment than having to be suspended ON campus. From what I heard, it was like detention and solitary confinement coupled with extra homework. I'm just going to wipe off what I stepped in with my previous post. Yes, we live in a society where barbarism is held at bay only through constant attention to rules and regulations. Cause and effect, action and consequence need to be stressed at an early age. When I was growing up, it was fear that kept me in check. Fear of what would happen to me if I turned into a problem child. That fear grew into respect as I grew older, and I understood that you can't bash your way through life and expect to get away with it. "Letting this go" might just serve to present the image that it's acceptable to use violence and aggression as a tool to get one's way. Honestly? I can't choose. I love dogs, and feel the need to pet every one I see. It doesn't take much to get them all goofy and silly and happy...much like me. I adore cats as well, because no matter how much they love to think they are all that, they still can't help getting mushy when you scratch lightly behind their ears. Not to mention the fact that I used to train big cats at an endangered species park. I loved those tigers, pumas, leopards, lions and serval very much. I just seem to have a special affinity for animals. I agree. Let this pass, and she'll get the impression that she can get away with more. Perhaps putting her on one of those "shadow" programs would straighten her ass out. You know, where they go to a prison as a "guest" and get hassled by the inmates. At the very least, she could start picking out a bunkmate. How about purchasing all kinds of fruit the day before and cutting it up (except for grapes) and putting it in an ice chest full of various libations? Let it all soak and then you'll have powerful fruit punch and loaded fruit. We called it "panty remover". My ex-wife (who really wasn't a bad person, just wrong for me) expected me to read her mind and know when to put the moves on her. If I didn't, or did at the wrong time, there was emotional hell to pay. I never figured it all out, except I DID figure out we weren't meant to be together. It was more than the intimacy issue, it was about compatibility.
