If it makes you feel any better, i've been stuck at home since my "incident" in february (it's driving me nuts, not being about to do anything). So yes, i'm home on a saturday night also. hang in there, you'll be back to going out in evenings soon enough

My most jumps was the saturday after I got my license last july. I did 11. 8 of which i packed myself (please note, i had no confidence in my packing until after that day)

Well, I just injured myself in February. I tore my aorta, and compound fracture to my right femur. At first, I planned on staying on the ground until I was 100%. Once I got out of the wheelchair, and on crutches, I changed my mind, and thought, just enough until it's healed. The aorta doctor said no jumping (or anything else really) for 4 months (early June), the femur doctor said even though my femur isn't 100% I could go back to doing MY normal activities (yes, i'm assuming he knew normal for me includes skydiving). Well, before I went to the dropzone in the area where I'm going through rehab, I decided to try to climb a tree. I failed at the task, and my upper body definitly hurt. I realized then, that no matter what, I can't go back in the air til i am 100%. However, I have had minor injuries before this, where I would just through an ace bandage on a sore ankle, or was just careful about what I did. It always worked, but I think when the injuries get more servere, the recovery should be taken more seriously. or maybe not

I just read your post, and decided to reply, just because your license number is ONE before mine (mine's B-26199). Anyway, hang in there. School will be done soon, and you'll have the whole summer to relax a little bit. Although school can be stressful, it's not going to be that way always. After classes are done, working out will get easier, and you'll find the right guy (hopefully someone that understands your need to jump) soon enough. The skydiving club means something to you, so that's important to keep working on it. Well, I'm just going to talk from my experience. I'm not a very experienced skydiver (around 200 jumps or so). I like you have said "i'll never do a fast/full/sharp toggle turn close to the ground". Not even for fun. I just said I'd never do it. I also have learned my flat turns and use them ALL the time. I felt good that I knew how to do them, and felt comfortable with them. Well in February, I was doing some CRW, I was landing with a fellow jumper, and I'm still not sure what happened. I was doing a downwind landing and i was around 50 feet, definitly not higher than that, when I did a 180 degree HARD toggle turn. Listening to other people, they all tell me my canopy landed before I did. I'm just lucky that I'm in the healing process right now. Sometimes, people don't do low turns on purpose. I don't know why I did mine. An incident, that I wish I could reverse. Just because you say you aren't going to ever do that (at least not in the recent times), doesn't mean that's the case. Sometimes things just happen that you don't expect. I guess that's just something to realize. Always expect the unexpected. That's just my 2 cents. I plan on doing more than 100. Of course, that's with my goal of getting back in the air in July. Heck, I'll do it anyway. No such thing as too cold of weather. I probably did about 35 jumps before my injury in february. 0:0:20 Won't be able to jump til my femur heals (whenever that will be), however improved 20 degree movement in my knee from last weekend

Well, I had a major skydiving injury in february (february 21st to be exact). I was in ICU for 6 days, which I have no memory of what so ever. After I got out of ICU, and placed in the trauma unit, all I could think about was skydiving, and how long it would be til i could get in the air again. So that took 1 week about??? Granted when i actually get in the air, is a different story... We'll see.
