I dig that, I really do, but imho NO AMOUNT of donated goods or "financial partnership" should allow the Olympic uniforms to have a corporate logo that is larger than the "USA" or the Olympic rings. But don't blame Ralph Lauren! Clearly somebody at the USOC would have had to approve the designs. Makes ya wonder if this is the compromise. "Umm, Ralph. The logo is bigger than the jacket." The problem with tax cuts to stimulate growth is you need a inverse percentage of increase just to break even. IE: Cutting taxes by 50% requires double the increase before any gain is realized. In this uncertain economy, counting on any gain to offset losses just seems foolish to me. We have to raise taxes to keep from hemorrhaging even more money while determining which programs need to be cut back or eliminated. Even if programs don't get cut this is still better long term than cutting taxes and increasing spending as we've done in the past. Basic economics: when in debt, cut spending and try to increase income.

I've gotten a little jaded these days, but that was better than I could say it. Yeah, I probably dissed USPA more than I should have. Just have to understand how pissed off a lot of us were at the time it went down. I know off-hand, more than a few old-timers that just quit their membership over that. I elected to just let my ratings lapse. I was annoyed at the results too, but in reality they probably didn't have a legal leg to stand on to begin with and kicking them out probably wasn't the best in hindsight. Then again if you have legal insurance vs. lawyers on staff, they are more concerned about costs than justice. These days, the USPA is little more than another target for shotgun lawsuits in these sorts of situations. Outs seem limited directly adjacent to the airport but past the trees looks like some landing area that could be used. If winds are high, you can go with the wind a long ways to find a good landing are if needed.
