I've never been able to find a source of logbook stamps to accurately depict all the possible maneuvers performed. Sorta like with skydiving, you have individual stamps and just stamp the formation... Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Awesome jumps, scuba diving, snorkeling, b(B)oobies , parties, new friends, old friends, touristing, zip lining, cave tubing, etc. Going from 14,000 feet to -140 feet in less than an hour is beyond cool. The Blue Hole jump alone is worth the trip.

Ditto for me on Friday, unless we can sneak a jump in first. See ya'll there!!! Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Right and wrong are too subjective...

I heard they used to do this in the military: They'd start giving a rectal exam with on hand on the patients shoulder. Another person that was hiding sneaks over and puts their hand on the other shoulder. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Good is completely subjective. Diminished is a more appropriate term. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Some might say just the act of drunk driving is careless and inappropriate. The intelligence of an action has no correlation to the results nor the number of people doing it. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

> if you are careless with a gun vehicle or use it inappropriately, there should/will > be consequences. Do you agree to this as well? This definitely covers drunk driving.
-
Drunk driving is dangerous to others regardless of legality. Your drug and hooker examples are causality. As for the last, if you are careless with a gun or use it inappropriately, there should/will be consequences.

Ok, please tell me what kind of knowledge you think I should obtain to be able to decide whether non-gun owners would benefit if current gun availability was reduced or not? I answered this already earlier: Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

The lottery commission really doesn't care one way or the other. As far as they're concerned they could either pay you and let you be responsible for the taxes or they could pay you your share and forward Caesar's the government's share to the IRS as "withholding". I believe they are required to withhold taxes by the IRS. Taking the lump sum or taking payments over 20 years would be the winner's choice. Taxes will be withheld either way. If you decide to take the lump sum payment you will not get the full amount because they do not have the full amount. The advertised value of the lottery jackpot is paid out as an annuity and is funded by investing some of the "take" in bonds, etc. Also, after the initial withholding is taken out the gov't probably will be back for more later. I know they couldn't/wouldn't do it, but just imagine the publicity a gesture like that would generate.

If I won the lottery I'd offer to give it all to various charities if they'd pay out the full amount as a non taxed lump sum. It'd be fun to watch the lottery commission squirm... Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Currently criminals have to wonder most places if their intended victim has a gun. Even if you choose personally to not to have a gun, by others still having that right you are safer.

While tort reform would definitely help, everyone settling out of court is a big issue as well as no precedents are set. It may cost more initially, but if everyone took every frivolous lawsuit all the way through the system, there'd be far less as it would not be as quickly profitable to sue. In addition, the courts would get so backed up, it'd be years before they even went to trial.

I've done many beach jumps on at least 7 different beaches. The only times I didn't land parallel with the water was possibly at Wildwood New Jersey which is HUGE and one other time at another beach when I had a canopy collapse over the water (turbulence + too deep of brakes like an idiot) and barely made the wet sand. Every place I've been to it's always been pattern over the water, land up the beach or down the beach. Crosswind landings on sand are very forgiving. Even done a few downwinders and just sugar cookied...

Their company, they can do whatever they want as far as I am concerned. (And people are free not to fly with them) The problem isn't the companies wanting to make more money (Last time I checked that whole industry really isn't doing the greatest), but people demanding ultra cheap flights. This guy knew he was too fat to fit in one seat. When he requested stand by, he should have ensured there were two seats for him and when told only one seat was available he should have declined. I agree they can do whatever they want, but they have to actually admit to doing it, not dance around it like they did in this case. The airline industry is having more issues with customer service and complaints. Rather than be straight with us and raise flight prices, or consolidate their backend systems to allow them to be more efficient, they charge fees for damn near everything which makes it almost impossible to succesfully comparison shop. Separate rant: Why haven't the travel sites been able to incorporate these fees into their prices yet? I hate CRJs... Not only are they cramped, they have really thin padding on the seats too. I flew first class back from a trip and one segment was on a CRJ. The first class seats suck just as bad. The issue is less about personal responsibilitiy versus corporate BS IMO. If they have set policies, they should be enforced uniformly. The part that bothered me the most was them not just saying it was a weight or his size issue. Had they said "Sir, we have a weight and balance issue and as there are no other seats available and you were standby, we have to ask you deplane." Just listened to the whole thing. He should have made them admit what the safety issue was before getting off the plane. If they are going to remove someone if they don't meet certain size criteria, they need to be forced to admit it. None of this corporate BS speak. If he could show he could buckle the belt and have the armrests down they had no right to remove him. At the end of the podcast they talk about how the the airlines abuse their power. Until people stand up to them, it will keep happening and keep getting worse. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
