Dumbass town wants to build worlds largest lava-lamp
mountainman replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
Has anyone thought this yet? BEER LIGHT !!! You could see that from jumprun. LOL http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
What was the most unique or memorable jump you made in 2002?
mountainman replied to akaGQ's topic in The Bonfire
The last jump I made was with my wife with our new freefly jumpsuits. We both did a sitfly and stayed facing each other the whole time and did a pretty good job staying on the same level. It was great being able to be in freefall with my wife and see her across from me. *sigh* I need to get back into the sky SOOOOOOON !!! -

I'm glad that a bunch of you guys got to read that! It was really great. It's nice (and enlightening) to read about what the jump pilots go through when getting ready for these. We usually just hear about the jumpers' end of things. Thanks for taking the time! -

How can you not like a DZ? A DZ means there is a jumpship and other jumpers! That's almost like saying you don't like beer. LOL (Ok, so I dont like beer. But hey, I like to jump!) -

It is very impressive what those pilots can do. I admire their skill for that. 14 planes NOT meant to be flown in formations like that. Nice! -

I urge all of you to take the time and read Chris' write up on his experience in Eloy for the world record. It is very interesting to read it from his POV. You never think about how much work it takes for 14 pilots to fly formation like that for something to come together. It is a very interesting read (I'm 3/4 done) and very informative. This will make you thank your jump pilot next time you see them for how much work they have. Congratulations, Chris and all of the other pilots there!!! (Including Steve Stewart from Richmond. ) Here is the link: Flying in the 300way World Record Formation Enjoy!! -

Wow. Now it looks like you'll have to keep your priorities straight from here on out. I doubt they'll let you off a 2nd time. Congrats and remember... study before beer and jumping. You can jump & drink all your life. You HAVE to get through college to do what you want to do. Just remember that. Congrats!

Are you trying to say that you're NOT supposed to tumble like them? Hmmm..... http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I could go for that too. -
I see people write these different ways all the time. What is the way they should be written? I vote they are all one word: skydive, freefall, & dropzone. You?

Has anyone thought about Skydive Fort Wayne? That is pretty damn central for Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Just a thought. Looks like a small double 182 DZ. However, it would be sweet to be close to Ft Wayne (stuff to do) yet have a small DZ like that. -
Wings - Love it. Safire - Like it a lot. (Once I learned how to make it flare good.) http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Just caught the tail end of the "reserve pull". Nice.

I smell poo as well. The photo on websites that sell the camera include a lens as well. That is why they say "body only". If you do that name thing that he suggests, ask the place where you're sending it if the person MUST VERIFY the identity with 2 forms of photo ID (one which must be gov't issued). The guy probably wouldn't be able to do that falsely. Remember, that is how I'd do it if I was going to risk it. I wouldn't risk it with that guy. Good luck, Derek...

Maybe you can hit your 2003th skydive in 2003. That would be cool. Good luck on 2004 than.

Sounds fun! -
Pretty cool phone, SF! Hey. Laura and I are going to come back over to Chicago sometime this spring for a long weekend, I believe. Once it gets warm enough to comfortably skydive, we'll be there. We really liked Chicagoland Skydiving. Are you still jumping there? We'll have to hook up for some jumps. Have fun at the call center.

I'm on my 2nd Pammi/Merrick creation (first one broke in freefall, but was still in my shirt) and Laura has a P/M creation as well. We really like them and would recommend to anyone! I haven't seen the others, so I can't comment.

Great photos, Katie! I would like to see some more.

I personally use the 367k standard. (Pretty close to yours Phree.) I find that it is a pretty good balance of quality vs. file size. I usually get a little more than 2mb/min. for them. Not too shabby. And yes, PLEASE don't do Real Media. I refuse to have that on my computer. It's the devil. LOL http://www.brandonandlaura.com
