Well I dont feel too bad than. There are plenty of people who haven't jumped because of this crappy widwest USA weather. *cry* http://www.brandonandlaura.com

How long has it been since your last jump? I have only had one jump since the beginning of September. Man, it totally sucks. Either the weather is crap or we have somewhere to go. *sigh* So, how long has it been for you? PS: No poll anymore? http://www.brandonandlaura.com

What do you use Spy? http://www.brandonandlaura.com

mountainman replied to mountainman's topic in The Bonfire
Thanks for all the info guys. I'm really looking for something for my coat now (NF) to zip into. I dont way to pay TOO much (NF/MH), but if it is a good deal, I'll jump on it. Thanks a lot. -

Do any of you outdoorsy people know where to buy North Face or Mountain Hardwear for good prices online? If you have a website or something, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
Hey man - just to reaffirm that I am not jumping with it now. I am just getting more resources and info for when the time comes. I have the camera and some accessories that I use for "ground" footage now.

how much distance can you cover from 13500
mountainman replied to Rookeskydiver's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Actually, my alti is the same as pretty much everyone elses. That is why I thought the PT was not registering correctly. I have always checked it to others and it looks good. Hmm... http://www.brandonandlaura.com -

I have never used the JumpTrack software. I was basing my observations from the reading on my altimaster III and my Pro Track. Whenever I jump from say 13k, My PT usually will be about 3-400' below whereever my alti said. I dont know if it is just a general mismatch or if it doesn't start until then. Thanks for the example, Cpoxon. -
Very cool, Gus. Let's start cranking them out more often!

Very cool video. Thanks for sharing. My Spanish classes got a kick out of it.

As far as the ProTrack question goes: I have found that it puts my "exit altitude" about 300' below what my altimeter (and others) say we are at. I think others have expressed this before with the PT. So, with that in mind, your PT doesn't even start to register the jump until you are a couple of hundred feet into the skydive and you have some speed built up. I believe this also explains why it doesn't register a h-n-p jump. Your body doesn't have enough speed to "turn on" the device. Of course, this is purely my opinion and observations. http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
I wouldn't say that isn't PC. It sounds more like someone in a govt. speaking the truth. Good find, Phree. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I would not have berated him for it. I like non-PC jokes. You defeated your whole purpose by posting it here also. If you don't like them so much, why would you put it somewhere that will be read by hundreds? Ah well. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

You didn't even put YOUR reason in there! LOL I don't get them because they make you sick. I don't get sick that much, so there is no reason to get myself sick on purpose. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

I heard that the Vice City version is much bigger than GTA3. I haven't played it yet, but I've heard all good things so far. Perhaps someone can post some screenshots of play?

Thank you guys for ALL the input! There are some cool sites there that I've never seen before. I actually bought our PC120 from Dbuys. They are great and fast. Also, they are not pressure sellers when they call to confirm. You tell them that you have all you need, they don't say anything else. I bought the extra stuff (filters, wide angle lens, extra battery) from B&H. They had a GREAT price on the Kenko .5 lens ($25). Then, I bought my Sony Premium DV tapes (60 min) and 128MB Sony Memory Stick from a place called Ecost.com. Stuff was VERY cheap and they got stuff shipped very fast and I had no problems. Check them out...they have different specials all the time. You just really need to look hard to find some stuff. The place that I used to research prices and such is here: http://pcworld.pricegrabber.com. It works pretty much like PriceWatch but is much better with info and places that are reliable. Good luck to all and thanks again for all the links guys.

Just curious where all of you buy your camera helmets and accessories. I would like to start poking around some sites and things like that. Thanks.

Cool lens for Sony Digital Video camera?
mountainman replied to meridianjumper's topic in Photography and Video
Also, look into buying more plug-ins and things like that if you get into applying the filters in Premiere. They can sometimes turn out really cool. Good luck! http://www.brandonandlaura.com -
If I were you, I would just try to keep my mind occupied with other things that I enjoy. I know it is hard to move on after something like that, however, no matter how much you think about it, that won't bring him back. Just think...Orlando....Wind Tunnel....A license.... Ahh...isn't that better? Good luck with this, JumpNFly. http://www.brandonandlaura.com

Just curious if anyone knows of a small operation or something of the sort in western Mexico. Laura and I are going there this coming December for 11 days and it would be sweet if there was. We'll be about 3 hrs south of PV. Thanks!

My dad and brother are going through the SL program right now. They are both done with 11 jumps. They both want to get their licencse and get a rig. I'm psyched about jumping with them!

Yeah...Momentum is a great CD. My brother saw him several times this summer at different events around here. And my buddy who was in another Christian rock band actually got to play with him and his band a couple years ago in IL. Must have been a great time!
