I'll be using a new JVC mini-DV with like 350X digital zoom. It is up to you. I filled the screen with a plane on jumprun at 13000', so yeah, it can zoom damn far. I'll check out what it looks like with something on the groud and see how it looks before we decide. It is sweet though and I'll keep you updated:) Later dude... Since I haven't been able to start training yet, I pretty much LIVE off the stories that people tell/write/etc. The best ones are always the best (of course) and I know that whoever has them LOVE to tell them. So, here goes, tell us about your FAVORITE jump! I know this has probably been here before, but I would love to read them over and over. It kind of gives me my fix (apart from sticking my body out the car window) until I can start jumping myself. Also, for instance, take FFF's story about the clouds. I don't know. I found out what a wanker is and it doesn't sound like something that a woman can be (in the literal sense at least), but yeah, I love that word too. When I was hangin out with some Brits, they said all kinds of funny stuff a lot: wanker, shag, fish-n-chips, crisps (chips), something about being a "short plank", and everything isn't nice, it's "lovely". That is a pretty sweet idea! They have night jumps down to where you can jump pretty safely at night. I would think you would just need the ceiling, air traffic and good load seperation to do it. Maybe you should get ahold of some USPA/FAA people and get the ball rolling!

Greg.....that was great! I told several friends about it and none of them got it or thought it was funny. Damn whuffos! Ah well...they'll catch on! My nick is from when I was little and visited Colorado, I would be all over the mountain on hikes. I would be on cliff edges, in the trees, etc, etc. My step-dad said, "man you are just a little mountain boy, huH?" FFF...just a word of humble advice. When it comes to doing dirtdives as a "stand-in", you can't be TOO specific. Remember, most tandems turn out to be a one-time thing, and you don't have to call or cuddle after them. Hell, best thing about it is there is no "post-dive critique" to hear about!!

thanks Pammi...I think you are the only here that sees that I am just trying to say that he was just posting something funny and not tring to be telling what to do. Screamer, I totally agree with not telling people what to do. Especially since I have a whole one jump. You are all pros in my eyes. I actually read a post from Bryan Burke from the early 90's and he was always talking about things he liked to do while skydiving, or wanted to do (the last one is pertaining to this: 1) Pack a fanny pack lunch in the AZ heat, hop-n-pop at 13,500 and enjoy a breezy lunch. 2) At the end of the day, take the sunset load, hop-n-pop and 13,500 and enjoy some cold ones on the way down. 3) Regain his tandem rating and have a female counterpart in the harness. Hop-n-pop a tandem at 13,500 and have plenty of time for the ride down to take the "ride". I know this is a freefall f**k we're talking about, but if anyone really wanted to mix the two best things in the world, this seems like the best way to do it!!
