Anyone have an idea if I need to download a plug in to view this?? I am getting the following message after I download it: "the required compressor could not be found" I am able to hear music, but not able to see video. HELP!!!

I actually had this on mine: AC/DC - If you wanna rock-n-roll Not sure if that's the title of song, but it is repeated throughout. It sounds awesome with freefall! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

I'm glad that someone had the balls (figuratively, in this case) to ask this question! I wasn't going to since everyone else seemed to have a grip on the idea. heh heh...I have balls and grip in one paragraph. *ahem* Anyway, thanks for asking!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

So do I, but only if I'm checking out an "adult website".

Idea's on how to make student rigs more barable?
mountainman replied to Viking's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hey VIKING...if i were you, I would take some GOLDBOND MEDICATED POWDER. You can apply that stuff after each jump and it feel GOOD on chaffed(sp) skin. A guy once told me that the extra-strength GoldBond Powder felt like "3000 Chinese women blowing on your balls". How could you beat that??? -
I just did my AFF Level I jump about two weeks ago and we learned the wave-off. I saw a video of the 5-5 and it just didn't seem like a very good indicator that you are about to pull. I don't know about you, but I'm not watching the fingers of the person a couple hundred feet below me. BUT, if I saw their arms crossing about them, I would suspect something. Now, true, some people forget to wave off on Level I (my wife, for instance). But hey, she knew right when she pulled that she forgot. She actually gave the pointer finger to the instuctors (the hang signal the instructors give to pull) right before she did. At least she remember to signal SOMETHING before she dumped. I guess my final thought is that, IMHO, waving off is more effective and not any harder than 5-5 during AFF or anything else, probably. Our humble corner on the web... HERE

SIGN ME UP, HH!! I'm on the east coast, so I'll stay up awhile and wait for a response. Let me know dude!!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

Thanks for all the info. My parents own like 16 acres of open area and I think it would be pretty damn sweet to jump to it someday (after I get TONS better). Maybe if they hold a wedding or something. I could come in with my wife to my bro's wedding (when that happens) and give him the ring. DAMN!! How cool would that be!!! Anyway, thanks for all the info again and if you see anything else, let me know!!!

Hey all! I am wondering what the rules are for a pilot to fly jumpers. My grandpa is a pilot and has a plane. What are the rules for him to fly me to a large field in the middle of nowhere and me to jump?? If you know, please let me know! Thanks a million to all the great pilots that we need to jump. (And something that I hope to be in a couple years.) Our humble corner on the web... HERE

What the hell is that??? Is that when you don't have a "Budweiser meal"?? Hmmm.......no thanks.

Congratulations Viking!!! That sounds like it was awesome! So, it only gets better, huh?? Laura and I are going to go to the DZ ALL day Friday and ALL day Saturday and jump our asses off. Hopefully we can get 3 jumps per day and get through AFF. That would be sweet! Either way, we're going to be moving up in the world this weekend. Hope that your grandpa is getting better and hope that you get to go Level III this weekend! Blue skyz to ya!! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

Didn't you say you are going to get your JM rating?? I hope not!! You ARE responsible for your students' life (indirectly). Maybe you should think twice about doing that!!! blue ones Our humble corner on the web... HERE

There is a JM at Aerodrome (Richmond) who is 21. He started when we was 14 and is a Tandem JM/regular JM/coach/ PRO rating/mechanic. He has about 2200 jumps now. Yes...he is the son of the owner. His name is Johnny. Dang good guy and dang good canopy pilot! Our humble corner on the web... HERE

Hey Jaybird...we are going to drive up there Friday morning (EARLY) and jump all day on Friday and all day Saturday. I am trying to talk her into Sunday too, but I don't think it'll happen. Anyway, we'll be there Friday, so I hope to see you there eventually!! Hopefully by the time you get there after work, I'll have doubled my jump # to 4. Hahaha... See you then man!! Hey all!! I am looking for a digi camcorder that I can use to video. Granted, I probably won't be jumping a camera until next year or the year after, but I would like something nice now to use around the house/vacations that would also be something good for a helmet. I am liking the PC5 because it's small, lots of features, and has a special case made for it to be mounted on the helmet. My question: what camera would you recommend for buying now and would be good to use when the time comes to jump it? I also want something that is compatable with a fish-eye lens. Thanks!!! Didn't really find the section on fish eye lenses. Where are they??

Thanks for all the advice. We DID go over this in the ground school (so don't think they are incompetant), I just wanted to hear it from some real life experiences. We were taught to do a braking turn as well. Would this keep you more level to the ground (AKA not pound in) and result in a softer, yet hard, landing?? Thanks all!! Our humble corner on the web... I agree with Spectre! There isn't very many ways for skydiving to get out to the public (for liking it OR trying it). I am just glad that there are some movies that take a stab at the Hollywood level. (Notice I said "take a stab".) Anyway, kudos to Guy for making something that we can watch on those days when Good Stuff has already been watched twice (today).

HAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! *wiping tears from face* That is great! I don't think that I've ever seen a dog in freefall. Is it really done??? Our humble corner on the web... HERE

Hey Zennie!! Jaybird told me that you would be coming down. I have done Level I there. Camped there this past Friday night to do some jumps on Saturday, but there was rain and clouds. Damn!!! Four of the guys made a quick jump from the Otter on its way to Chicago on Sat morning from about 8200'. Anyway, wish I could've been there and met you. Hopefully you'll get back there and be able to jump. Let me know and I'll make sure I'm there!!!

I bet there will be enough dz.comers to man the station throughout the whole time. Especially people like me who can't jump it. And, I'm sure there will be others who don't have their B license yet. Thoughts?? YO, HH!!! What is your take on this??? Our humble corner on the web... HERE

Does anyone know what you are supposed to do in the case of going into powerlines (and there is no turning around)?? There are probably powerlines within landing distance from ANY dropzone. Do you know what to do if you going right into them?? Our humble corner on the web... HERE

I probably missed this while I was in Mexico, but is there going to be a dz.com booth at Quincy?? If so, let me know! Also, what is the deal with t-shirts?? Did you ever find another supplier, HH?? "Throw me a frickin' bone here!"

That was the picture of my car (I don't have one). I just sold my Jeep (which, by the way, I drove A LOT without door mounted mirrors...since the doors were off). You could get along just fine. You live in Tejas right?? Like there are rules there....pshhhh!
