Dark times. Please come back soon. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Yeh, for the first time in 4 years I will actually be driving MYSELF this year. GPS and Google Maps is all I need... Omar is over-rated. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

The whole island is walking distance. Just might take you a few days. I don't really think any of the hotels are going to be "walking distance" as you probably mean. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Based on this post, I think you're going in completely the wrong direction with this thread. Finding a new location to meet more guys won't change the way you operate mentally. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

TK was expressing his opinion, not enacting an unconstitutional law. Ironically, his post is a perfect example of the free speech you seem to imply he is against. And for a double dose of irony... you telling him to "change the channel" is as good as telling yourself to stay out of this thread. Surprisingly enough, people like to watch/read/complain about things they don't like. It only looks silly when they criticize somebody else for doing exactly the same thing (i.e. TK watching Bush and commenting on it, and you reading TK and commenting on it). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Despite all of the acclaim it garnered, I thought it was his worst novel to date. Try "All the pretty horses". It was one of his best books. I finished The Road recently too. I enjoyed it, although it was my first McCarthy book. I want to read some of his others soon. As soon as I finish the damn Dark Tower series. The Road is being made into a film, was supposed to be released end of 2008 but has been delayed a bit. Viggo Mortensen will play the man. It is directed by John Hillcoat with a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis... the same director/songwriters were teamed together for The Proposition (Australia) which was pretty damn good. Cave and Ellis also did the soundtrack for 2007's The Assassination of Jesse James which was without a doubt the best soundtrack I've ever heard (and I was so damn surprised to find out it came from Nick Cave of all people). So, between the subject matter and the team behind it... I am VERY interested in how this film adaptation will turn out. The rest of the cast is also impressive, despite how short all their roles are by necessity. The guy who played Omar in HBO's The Wire will play the thief... www.WingsuitPhotos.com

But will you still go around reminding everybody it all started with Bird-Man? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Nuff said. Perhaps it will become THE adopted standard by all WS Manufacturers. Thanks for your time, I agree that, from what I've seen, the BMI program is probably the most comprehensive out there (not saying it's complete or perfect by any means). But, becoming the standard adopterd by all manufacturers? Not as long as it keeps its current nomenclature of BMI. Sad but true. Not a jab at Bird-Man or the other manufacturers who would refuse to adopt a Bird-Man branded rating, just a comment on the incompatibility between instruction and name brands. The "universal training standard" to end all arguments, whatever it will be, will need to be disassociated with any manufacturer, but at the same time will need to include knowledge of each manufacturer's unique suit features (which are always evolving rapidly). www.WingsuitPhotos.com

FTFY. There's not such thing as "regular." But of all the varying standards right I would guess 16:9 is by far the most prevalent, especially for new TV broadcasts. But if you were to watch a 4:3 show... it should be pretty obvious what would happen. You have two options: stretch or pillarbox. Please give me an example of a movie that was filmed in 4:3. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I heard it's out there. Plan on trying it out tonight. Initial reports are almost unanimously enthusiastic it seems. I have seen some people saying that even as a beta it runs smoother (and requires less), even on old machines, even compared to XP. Supposedly works with Vista drivers too. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

My fiancee got the virus mentioned in this thread on her laptop despite having Avira installed (I used to use AVG but when they switched from version 7 to 8, I think, something about it pissed me off and I dropped it). Neither Spybot or Adaware were able to stop it, I had to use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware as previously suggested. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

Agree with Yeyo. As much as I love Z-Flock... if I could only choose one of the two, I would choose Puerto Rico. You'll likely see the same people at both events anyway.

What is the wingsuit mod for containers?

Wow... I finally got around to measuring the bridle on my Icon and it is 6' pin to PC. Jumping with my SM1, guess that explains those hesitations. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Exactly, and the precise reason I just leave my money in the index funds and don't touch it. Over 30 years (my intended term), index funds always do great. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

And then there's the folks who start a sure-to-be-inflammatory thread, ask questions of their opponents, get answers, but refuse to answer the tough questions posed in response. CLICK Yes, it was long ago. You berated myself and another poster for being "off-topic" by referring to your death penalty thread in a different post (although you actually started the thread drift), commanded us to post in the proper place, and answer your questions, and then you would answer ours. I answered your questions, I posted in the proper place (your thread), and then waited, and waited (even reminding you in other threads like I'm doing now) for a response to my questions and still received none. It's easy to express opinions, but it is tough to answer certain questions about why those opinions exist, I guess? www.WingsuitPhotos.com

I think I "lost" around 25%, I have almost all my funds in S&P 500 Index. I say "lost" because I don't think it's a real loss unless you are going to utilize those funds in the next 5 years. When the market recovers (eventually) your funds will come back too, and in the meantime you are buying cheap ones.

Skydive Elsinore World Record Wingsuit Flock ;)
The111 replied to Heffro1's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Based upon jumper positions (assigned slots on the left wing) and the wingsuit colors, it is a Tuesday jump. Correct, it was Tuesday jump 6. From what I can tell, this photo was taken from a slightly different angle and probably a fraction of a second before or after Craig's, but is the closest one I have to the same thing. www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
Nice. Nice (scary) exit @ 4:30. Nice flower @ 6:12. And I can recognize Zhills puffies any day of the week, before I even see the ground. Nice Neil Young reference @ 21:11. Yes, I watched it this far. And even a little bit further. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

How many jumps did u have when u did your first wingsuit jump?
The111 replied to mrbiceps's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I would like to thank the people that had a go at you, it was worth the laugh. Sorry if at your expense, but the question gets asked alot and finally people came up with some really good responses. We WS fliers believe in tough love. Voodew1 just believes in anal. Actually if you read from the first post of the thread, the first person to "have a go" at anyone, was the OP himself (at me). Most people were polite in their responses, and while mine was blunt, it was not rude. However, it wasn't what he wanted to hear, so it didn't "contribute." www.WingsuitPhotos.com -
How has my free speech been threatened by anything in Iraq? I respect the military, but it seems like "we are protecting your rights and freedoms" is a blanket statement used far too often, designed to magically deflect any argument. The biggest threats to our free speech and other constitutional freedoms will come from within, from our own government, and the military (as an employee of that government) will not be able to stop it. It has been 200+ years since military might has been used to fight for constitutional rights. The military's primary function today is to protect us physically from harm, should that need arise. In theory, our democratically elected government officials will protect our rights and freedoms. So far, it's mostly worked. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
