At least you didn't turn low, Ashman They should have a windsock or something, though! Congrads on your levels! :D Angela.

Man... this is when I wish I knew how to set up record on my vcr:( I'm at work... and I'm going to jump early a.m., so it would be hard to see the 2am show. I wonder if someone will tape it for me?? ! Lemme make some calls:) thx, Jimbo! Angela.

When you just can't bring yourself to say...
SkydiveNFlorida replied to Rebecca's topic in The Bonfire
The Miami # is a party hotline message, gives a web address to get the hottest parties in Miami, then has a message machine. The intention, though, is hilarious! I personally prefer to just tell them i'm not interested, or am involved, or whatnot... but, this IS quite funny! Angela. -
Getting married - Best man is a girl - she is broke - need advice
SkydiveNFlorida replied to Phlip's topic in The Bonfire
agreed. -
(((vibes))) I hope you find it :( To add to what has been said, I think that the person who chopped it should definitely volunteer to AT LEAST help pay for it. If I had chopped it, i'd definitely be working on paying what it was worth. Angela.

But, what is an american american, anyhow? Most of the black people in this country are as american as the white/other people in this country. Therefore, who would this award include/exclude? I mean, all of our roots lead elsewhere at some point, except the american indian, right? Hey, I can run... i'm part Cherokee:D lol! There are blacks here from Canada, could they run for the African-american award because they are black... even though they're from Canada? I think this boy was probably more African than many others running for that award... how long has it been since he was in Africa? How long since the other candidates were in Africa? I can't believe he was punished. This school should be ashamed of themselves, they are basically giving an award for blacks only,... with a label on it that says "African-american" but in fine print (transparent print) excludes non-coloured african americans. What bullshit! Angela.

Freeflying, freestyle & swooping interest me. These are the only aspects of the sport i'm really intrigued by right now, but I might eventually want to check out a wingsuit just to see how it is to get so much time in the air. Anyhow, these will keep me busy for a very very veryyy long time. I have virtually no interest in rw, and I don't really have interest in spending a whole dive getting to a slot on a big way so that I can create some large formation in the sky. Maybe i'm just too selfish for that. haha. I think skysurfing is supposed to be *very* dangerous... I wouldn't want to be hindered by some board on my feet, but that is just me, maybe. I like the feeling of being able to move around as I please. Angela.

I wear contacts and jump with sunglasses. I got a pair in z-hills that fits really well, and I have a good tightening band on them. No problems so far. Angela.

I just wasted a good 5 seconds of my life loading that screen... and another 10 replying to this thread telling you how I loaded that screen. Angela.

You kill the food before feeding? The best part is watching them kill the food! Angela.

courtesy for your packer
SkydiveNFlorida replied to PackerBarry's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't use a packer, but I think aside from stowing the breaks, and preferrably not bringing in a twisted up mess in a pile, this is too much to do. I would set the brakes and lay it out. The packer should take care of the rest if i'm paying them. fwiw I did tip at the end of the day if I used the same packer all day (which I tried to do when I wasn't packing). Angela. -
Nice! Snakes are so sensual. Angela.

Do we do enough to deter incidents?
SkydiveNFlorida replied to diablopilot's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
This guy has a good sense of humor for what he's been through. I just read "skydiving ate my balls" and I laughed my ass off up to the day at wffc... then after that, he was still in good humor. I definitely think we see lotsa glam, not much gore. It couldn't hurt to show more gore because it would get people out of it who aren't in it.. .if that makes sense. (and it does, if you read it as I meant it to be written, but it is difficult to word). Angela. -
HAHAHAHA!@! (Breathe) ok. Anywho... I am a newbie, too, and I don't see this sport as safe. I knew getting into it that it wasn't safe. I didn't need to fool myself into thinking it was safe in order to get the guts up to participate. The element of danger is what makes this a thrill. Let's face it, if there were no chance of death, it wouldn't get your adrenaline pumping, which is why most of us are in it (I think). The sport isn't safe, you're jumping out of a plane, people! luv2fly wrote: Ok, you say this needs to be fun. Everyone has a different idea of fun. Some peoples idea of fun is swooping. As Ron has pointed out, the deaths were not all swoopers. Many people find this part of the sport a thrill, and they work to get good... lots of practice and starting off slow. These are good canopy pilots, and if you are both facing a collision, i'm going to venture a guess that they fly their canopies a lot better than you (or me) and will be more likely to walk away. Of course, this is just speculation. Angela.

Congrats!! Ditto on that! Angela.

Wednesday Funny - Why Women Are Crabby!
SkydiveNFlorida replied to ladyskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
For a quickie, a girl can pick up really good looking guys. For some committment, she has to look on next row. The guy that a girl marries is sometimes the homeliest guy she ever dated. It works out to guys advantage again. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder -
You MUST come to Pahokee (SoBe)!! The boogie this weekend is gonna rock!! :D angela

I know, Liz! It's so awesome Brian is going to do a free seminar Saturday night.. I will hold off on too much beer, maybe:) Wish you could join us! Todd, the rest of the dive fun, too... I can't stay headdown, tho:( So, I did a sitfly which i'm still working with anyhow. I need to slide around less. It's really weird cuz sometimes I do a really good job, and other times... I'm all over the damn place. I think it'll be helpful to have a freefly suit, if only for the fact that i'll be flying in the same thing over and over. There will be no tweaking due to what i'm wearing on which weekend. Thanks! I like this pic cuz i'm really having fun in it! Angela.

Ahh, jaywalking. Now that's an extreme sport. I especially like their moto: The moment you step onto the road you're dead until you take action to move off of it. And they don't even have safety devices like AADs. Imagine if a meteor hit you in the head while crossing the road and knocked you unconscious. You'd be road pizza man, road pizza. So stay safe out there and keep looking up while crossing the road! lmfao!! I thought the same thing. I mean, I can sorta see where she's coming from. . Kid with no parents. But, then, let's be serious for a min here... if they both jump, then likely they both jump together at times... and hell, this could leave the kids with no parents. I am not a mother, so I can't say how i'd feel about this. Angela.

Very nice video, Ray! You had some really nice swoops on there! Saweet! Angela.
