Ed, Tim Tennant weighing in here. The difference is "demo accuracy" vs. "target accuracy." With a demo you want a nice stand up landing in front of the crowd. With a target it is generally a seated precision landing for the electronic scoring pad. Also the Demo acc. canopies (Startrack, PD, etc.) are slightly smaller than a Foil or Classic and give you better penetration in higher winds at demos than the IPC limits for accuracy. Next time your up at Raeford, talk to Randy Kern, Tim or Tony Thacker as they've all been world level competition acc jumpers. Cheryl Whitford will be a wealth of info as well. Tim Tennant

Would you use a wind tunnel in Raeford, North Carolina
usskydiver replied to ParacleteAero's topic in Wind Tunnels
I do know the companies involved. All I was saying was for MY personal convience I'd like it closer to TSP. It was a mere joke, you don't have to be a big ass-monkey about it. I've never been to Raeford and have no problem with them. I've never been called a big ass-monkey before (that name is already bestowed) I have however been called Maggot Monkey before from an old 4 way team with SkymonkeyONE back in 89 or so known as the Falling Maggots (taken from a GWAR song) -

Justin, You have no idea who the companies involved are and if you did you would not post that drivel so, two points of order: 1. If you are trying to start some sort or DZ rivalry, STOP IT NOW or 2. Clear it through your DZ owner, John Hayes Tim Tennant D-12780 Sky -

Tried to get in there lately....you'd think it was Ft. Knox or something.... Tim -

Not only would I use it but I'd want a job there. There's a (larger than one would think) market due to the scheduling nightmare and questionable reliability of the "local" wind tunnel "just down the road" Just my thoughts..... -

Anyone have electronic Reflex Packing Instructions?
usskydiver replied to usskydiver's topic in Gear and Rigging
Fellow Riggers and enthusiasts. If you have an electronic set of packing instructions for the Reflex, and are willing to share them with me, please send me a PM. I'll owe you a beer. Tim Sky Swoop Team -
Derek, That is without a doubt the best article I've read when it comes to rigging. I have my Pre-second Apprentice working under me right now and your article will be invaluable. I hope your able to repost it every once in a while. Tim FAA Master Rigger

New Soul Flyers video is incredible!!

Yes, the beer and wine were flowing but I made it out the next day in order to cheer on the US Team. -
The packing data card should go with the reserve and not the container as PD is the only mfr. who tracks use and repack data on the canopy. The reserve pin check is also annotated on the reserve handle IAW CW 03-01. Tim FAA Master Rigger

Scott, It wasn't available there. I have a business card from the wingsuit company and the website is listed as www.flyyourbody.com but it seems to be under development (and is in French). I'm not sure who will be carrying the DVD but it ROCKS!! Tim PS: The movie premier party was stellar. You should have been there. -

New Soul Flyers video is incredible!!

While at the World Meet I watch the debut of the new Soul Flyers video and have to say it was truly awesome. I have no idea of who willl be carrying it here in the U.S. but it will be well worth the price. Just my thoughts.. Tim -
I was there and it was AWESOME. Those guys are great and very humble about their abilities. It was amazing to watch it on the "Jumbotrons" The jump off between the Russian 8 way and Arizona Airspeed was incredible as well. Tim

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Sammy. We sort of "grew up" together at Raeford and I will always consider him a friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Tim Tennant

I was stationed in England for 4 years but only made it to 2 DZ's. Sibson became my home DZ and I will always be grateful to Ronnie O'Brien for the work he did with the BPA to try and transfer my AFF Rating. Even though the effort failed and I had to attend the BPA AFF course (and passed) at Weston. At Weston I met a bunch of great people as well. I would have loved to visit more DZ's but spent too much time in such vacation spots as Bosnia, Liberia, Sierre Leone, etc. Tim Maggot USPA/BPA AFF and Tandem Instructor
