my point was that making jumps from BD or 486 span is SO SO SO different - but some people will do these and think they are ready.................. do people disagree with this???????

If you reread me I aint knocking the fun......... I understand why people go......... BUT there must be some people that do one or two and think "I am a BASE Jumper"? - I know someone who did something fucking stupid and thankfully lived - but after that he still went around boasting and telling people "Yeah I am a BASE jumper" - he never did anyting again but went around boasting! (even brought my name into it! - (unt! - he wanted the "badge" and reputation of a BASE'r at the DZ.......................... that is what I think is dangerous.....................

i have no idea what the WFFC is like................ but i get your point.............. nice one! but still........................ maybe its about the "mainstream" stuff aint what the sport is about............ in any sport / music / perversion / beer / etc etc etc................ but is it not better if the participants of the "mainstream" know this????? If you meet someone who says "I have done several BASE jumps" and it turns out to be only from BD or the 486 legal one - does your perception of them as a BASE jumper change???????????????? just a thought.............

and you think with living in the UK we have ample availability to get training............. ??????? i disagree.................... it does not show or teach you anything in my opinion.............. it just shows you can launch from that bridge on that day. again i disagree............ people do things to "look cool" and with bridge day and the amount of people around i think there is a risk of this - change it to 1am with one other person on top of a 300ft A in the middle of know where - this gives you more emotional questioning................. I started BASE with a girlfiend.......... We broke up my mother did not talk to me for 2 or 3 months my aunty did not talk to me for a year and tried to emotionally blackmail me my boss threated to sack me some skydiving friends did not talk to me I questioned whether it was worth it............ BASE803 (Mr C P) (I think thats his number) said to me on a meeting "dont worry it will all be worth it".............. He was right...................... My mother is now very cool with it My aunty has read some i wrote about it and now understands my boss thinks its now "not that bad" my skydiving friends are now interested and respectful ( and explained why they did not talk to me) and I am slowly getting back with my GF who now is proud to say "my boyfriend BASE jumps)........ LIFE IS VERY VERY FUNNY!!!! its hard but worth every moment of life!!!

I agree its a good event in the fact it shows BASE in a positive and exceptable view - but dont you think it is more of a circus than BASE? It seems (from some video and reports I have read) general BASE views go out of the window - (FX70 something TARD for example) - I just think that although there are positive facts on why this event is good - I want to know the views on why people think it also gives negative facts............. I am just wondering............... i am not trying to belittle or slate what bridge day means............. I can understand sort of why people want to go there and BUT if you are making this to make a break into BASE jumping does doing one or two jumps at this festival earn you any respect from your locals so then they will start taking you out? What do the experienced BASE'rs think about this circus? is it really what BASE is about? (I apologise if this sounds belittling but from here miles and miles away I dont see the attraction at all) I took a CR course where I did several jumps off a Span in the USA that is legal - although I had done some jumps - i still was not metally prepared for the emotions that you then feel having to sneak about in the dark and go away without trace. (The Morpheus FJC does intro you to this real side) It all seems to me that it is more of a "fair ground ride" then actually making a real BASE jump - I know this will probably give me some flaming over this - but please I just dont get it!................... .........now awaiting flames and agression - but I am just asking......... apologies......... My friend bought a vented PC and when he received it the ZP skin was made up of 2 halfs sewen together. After some thought about it we decided none of us would be happy with this and he sold it to a CRW jumper who was looking to buy an vented PC for his needs. Has anyone seen PC's made from 2 halfs or do you have an opinion on why you would happy / not happy in jumping a PC like this? just me being curious....... be safe always........... In the UK there are a few day time jumps. I have some A's that can be jumped in the day (did you not love it Faber!!!) mainly because although not that remote the locals who live there think it cool what we do and dont give us any grief - one guy has a pic of a jumper going off the A next to his house on his living room wall! How cool is that! Other than that there are a few "remote" A's that can be done in day light (so I hear!) and some of the E's can be done too (as long as you explain to people what you are doing who may bump into you as you are kitting up!) Most of my jumps are at night. As I dont live near the "daytime" stuff. Too be honest I dont care - a flick is a flick in day or night............ sometimes I just love the sneaking around!!

although there are different aspects to take into account on each of these X objects (landing areas / hazards / wind directions and effect) I would still say they are all the same object.............. To be honest - object logging is personal - if you want to call an O an A or a B or a S then go ahead - but i bet deep down you really know what it is!! be safe always............
