  4. I'm looking for the same information. I will be mailing a rig to Australia from the US. I heard that I need to fill out the Customs forms a certain way, or there can be problems. Anyone have any experience with this? .-.
  5. Some jackass spilled coffee on a table that my rig was sitting next to. It spilled onto my rig. It was waiting to be taken upstairs for a reserve repack so I'm not too worried about that. It also didnt get near the Cypres. It looked like it had creamer in it, and maybe sugar. Anything I should be worried about? I was in a bit of a hurry when it happened so I just wiped as much off as I could and dropped in off at the rigger and told him what happened. Thanks. .-.
  6. Gotta be the Ice Bowl. I can't stop watching that game on ESPN classics. haha. anyone else with me? .-.

  8. Profiling? Yea, racial profiling is great... (scarcasm) And where did you see in my post that the Cypres poses a threat to anyone? And where on the card is there anything reassuring? It tells the screener what it should look like and that the cypres cannot be disconnected from the parachute system. Unless you have one that is different than mine. How does that help? You know, I had second thoughts about making this post. I like being able to take my rig on the plane just as much as all of you do. As for taking away our freedom? Come on, look at everything else in this country. With freedom comes responsibility. And unfortunatly for us, the few that choose to abuse those freedoms make life harder on us. As for the xray machines checking for other things such as explosive materials, can you explain how an X-ray machine would somehow see that? I'm probably the least "paranoid" person you've ever met. The point of this post was partial scarcasm which I didn't really bother trying to express. That point, being that the US government is going to many lengths and spending so much damn money on "securing our nation" that they fail to see these simple and minute possibilities that can occur. As for the user who said I should find a new sport, you should open up your mind a bit. It's called an opinion. If you are having trouble accepting other people's opinions, I feel sorry for you. .-.
  9. Alright, so I've been on about 4 flights with my rig so far (rountrip, so 8 planes). While everyone in the skydiving community complains about the TSA being to strict about bringing rigs on, no one seems to sit back for a second and think about it. You are carrying on something that has the potential to be a bomb and you are telling them they "can't open it up." Jesus. Think about that. I'm sure I'll get a lot of disagreement over this, but I don't think we should be able to carry our rigs on the plane anymore. What if a terrorist was able to pack a container full of some explosives and get on board with it? Every time I fly out of BWI (baltimore) it goes right through the X-ray and they don't say a word. Boston is the only place where I get a lot of problems, which I don't mind. In Colorado, you present your little plastic Cypres card that says it can't be disconnected from the rig, and they wave you through. Whoopdeedoo. That would really convince me if I was working for th TSA. Does anyone else see a problem here? How many people have accidently gotten through with their hook knife on their rig? I've done it twice. Wake up TSA. .-.
  10. but with COD you pay and then get to open the box. you dont get to look in the box first and then decline it. atleast thats how it used to be... the person i bought my rig from used my DZ as the middleman. it was sent there and i picked it up then sent him the money through paypal. .-.

  16. Wake up people, this has been happening to our country for the past 15 years. Like someone said earlier, it's called globalization. It isn't anything new. Christ, look at Nike and every other company that supports sweat shop labor. How many of you own something made by Nike? If you are going to boycott this film for that reason, go ahead and add about a thousand other items to your list to boycott. .-.
