    If you are not doing anything for 4th of July, we are planning an epic Boogie up there. There will be planes, helis, secret missions, food, friends, etc, etc, etc. July 3 - July 12. I'll be posting about it properly as soon as some more details are ironed out. It's a beautiful place. Alive and well.     I just meant that there is a bit more hassle to installing them on vectran lines than on 825 MicroLine, that's all. Personally I need to use a tool to do it. Where as with the Spectra Line, I can just slip them on without having to reach for a tool. Oh. And I'm kind of a gear nut too.     In my opinion, you don't make a big deal over a concern when you descretely contact the company who sold it to you to sort it out. When you post the company name here, you give the impression that they have somehow dis-serviced you. It is a long hard road to build a good reputation in this sport.     In my opinion, using front risers for accuracy is not the best approach. Perhaps try flying a wider pattern. This give you more margin for error and/or fine tuning. The wider pattern allows you to turn in earlier or later depending on what you need. Of course keep in mind not to get too far downwind of your target. Particularly if it is windy and/or if there is an obsticle between you and your target. Keep in mind what you are getting here are opinions.     So what you are saying is that you have NO experience with an offsite landing. You have been jumping a bigger canopy with lots of decision time and lots of forgiveness. Downsizing is about more than the flare at the end. It about negotiating your landing pattern and making decisions in less time. (Smaller canopies desend quicker). You must be able to do this WITHOUT "S" turns and WITHOUT holding brakes. These are good training wheels, but they are not appropriate as you begin to share the landing pattern with more experienced jumpers. If someone fast than you is coming in behind you, an "S" turn in front of him/her is quite dangerous as well as inconsiderate. I would probably say, get a gently used 210. Put enough jumps on it, then sell it for very close to what you bought it for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

    Here is my goal with folks buying used gear for their first 100 - 200 jumps. Buy the size that is appropriate NOW! If you buy what you think you will be jumping in the future, the future may never come. That being said.... You can buy a good modern used system at a fair price, put 100 -200 jumps on it. Then sell the whole thing for about $1 or $2 per jump less than what you bought it for. I have sold the same rig 5 times! Each new jumper taking only a small hit at resale time. In fact for a couple of customers, they sold the rig again for exactly what they bought it for after 100 jumps as they kept the gear in perfect condition.
