  1. This doesn't work that well if they are lying face down. I think the proper solution is a case by case evaluation of the situation. Just my opinion. Worth what you paid for it.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  2. That's funny. I've been knocked out twice in freefall. Both times wearing a helmet. One full face, one open face. Hmmmm.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  3. Hmm, something to think about. I could demo a 170 for two weeks and if I liked it I could then order the 150. Definetly something to think about. Thanks Why don't you come out to Byron, and demo a Sabre2 170 for free! I think the 150 is just too small for you right now anyway. You can demo a pilot while you are at it.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  4. Likes sex and Roy A LOT. Always smiles at the DZ. Is kind as well as a little Kooky. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  5. LEAVE IT ALONE AND GO GET A RIGGER! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  6. Ouragon and Firefly do great custom work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  7. It depends on what Used Gear you are comparing to your New Gear option. What is the Used Rig that your rigger wants to sell you? How does it fit? Does it have appropriate main AND reserve size canopies? How old/new? It is my opinion to never choose one over the other as a standard. New vs. Used. Instead look at the current available options, then make the best choice. If you want help with a direct comparison, PM me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  8. .....umm.... it works with a BASE canopy. I think..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  9. As I understand it, they have bigger manufacturing facilities which allow them to bring the cost down a bit. Not all American Parachute companies manufacture their reserves in the US....FYI. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  10. In my experience larger sliders cure the issue. Get it from the factory and take their recommendations on size. We have many, many origianal Sabres on our DZ and very few complaints. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  11. I was told the same thing. After several hundred jumps of letting it get yanked out, I developed a "sack" of fluid in my shoulder from the constant friction. I agree with what some of the others say here. Give it a good healthy flick (throw). But don't hang on to it until it is yanked out. That puts undue wear and tear on your body. If you are in the sport for the long haul, you will learn to preserve your body for the good stuff! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  12. That is right! They are kitesurf and TerraBoard gear. They work great for swooping and sliding, etc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  13. We carry a pair called Jump n Bump. Padded butt and shins. Extra thigh protection. Zip off pants to shorts. AND, they make your butt look Niiiiice. Good for swooping and TMs. IMHO. Only problem is I can't find my pics. You can see them on Mathias Lundblad or Tim Mattson (aka Hookit) at the NorCal Classic Swoop Comp in Davis this Saturday. p.s. All Fox clothing is really, really cool! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  14. How about just re-cocking it when you put the bag in the tray? If you did miss it, don't you think the lines would be interested in meeting that big ole knot in the tray? Just curious and playing devils advocate, because I have never seen this. Maybe because I haven't seen a lot of slippage issues on our floor.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. About $250.00 for service, so $450.00. That is decent. But to make it worth you while you better go jump your butt off! Enjoy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. It cannot be packed if it is not up to date. The value of the cypres in that state (never having a 4-year and very close to 8 year, but not close enough to get the 8-year now....) is very low. How much are you paying? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. i am going to have to disagree with this statement, i have never seen used gear be more expensive than new gear, even with shipping charges and inspections...if it is someone is ripping you off! just my $0.02 Perhaps I didn't make myself clear, or I was misinterpreted. Pieced together Used Gear can end up costing more than a total USED GEAR package. Specifically when it is in date, packed and ready to go. I never compared it to a New Gear option. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. I didn't think that Skydive Chicago had Dolphin Student Rigs? Also check the grommet that the closing loop runs through. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. Increased pack volume. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  20. If you are going to piece used gear together, there will be multiple shipping charges, inspections and time variances, so it may not be the most cost effective way to go. Is there a reason that you want a new container? Are you "hard to fit"? With used gear, I don't think there is a cookie cutter answer to your question. It's more like, what is the best opportunity at any given time. That being said, if you PM me your height and weight, I'll check my neck of the woods for any potential matches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  21. You are joking, right? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  22. If you want to skydive, don't do it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  23. It has a slight droop. Have you tried pulling your rig up over your shoulders a bit more so it sits higher on your back. Do your chest strap first. Then tighten your leg straps more than you originally had. Each brand of rig has it's own tweeks to get the fit just right. Once you find your sweet spot, it will become routine. Good luck. PM me if you have any further questions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. www.MirageSys.com Then pick your favorite dealer and call them up for a gear consult and have them process your order. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. With an overstuffed container, you MAY be putting extra stress on the stitching. Something to look for. Couldn't tell for sure without seeing it first hand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
