And they failed to show as contracted at a June boogie on the West coast, choosing instead to take another (presumably more lucrative) job. Fayard had previously done some of the same.

What would you think about getting an invitation like this?
headoverheels replied to skymama's topic in The Bonfire
I'd be doing something else, but that is just me. -
If this is whoever took over from Fayard, and it was at least 3 months ago, I wouldn't count on them to show up even if you have a contract, if they get a last minute "better deal".

Rear riser landing with brakes stowed - good idea or bad idea?

Isn't there a concern that the friction would keep the line down, when you try to let it up? -
Maybe he should have waited until Obamacare...
headoverheels replied to mnealtx's topic in Speakers Corner
That's sorta what I had heard, but the guy who works for me always goes to the VA (in Palo Alto), even though he has what would be considered very good medical coverage through our employer. I, on the other hand, have been using Stanford Hospital/Clinics services, and am looking for somewhere that does a better job, at a lower cost (yes, I am so cheap that I look for more competitive rates even when I don't pay for the services directly, and question every inflated charge). -

I don't know about that. Just because one benefits from taxes subsidizing one's disproportionate use of medical services doesn't mean that they want others to similarly benefit, thus cutting into their pie. -
Should the Pledge of Allegiance be said in school?
headoverheels replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
I said yes/liberal, but I really think that the original or 2nd wording should be used, not that which came in in the 50's (IIRC). -
Brings to mind my high school days. Our lousy team rarely won a game, but we usually won the fight in the parking lot after the game.

I might have to make that into my sig.

I saw one on the way to work yesterday.

Deep fry it. Don't they do that with everything down South?

Ceramatec Battery - Power Grid Paradigm Shift?
headoverheels replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
If I calculate correctly, NiMH power density is much higher than that, at least if they are talking about a typical refrigerator. -
I'm getting the absolute freshest turtle eggs this way.

Life is a shit sandwich -- if you have more bread, you eat less shit.

no, but any news release labeling SF as one of the meanest cities to the homeless can best be used to line a bird cage. I've never seen such an article, but maybe it would be good PR to decrease the problem.

Either you are young, or it is really shitty insurance. I paid about that much 8 years ago, with a $2k deductible.

It is not in the Recycle BIn, but it is also no longer where it belongs, in http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3631592;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread I assume that it was message 8/8; 5/8 and 7/8 are also absent.

Somewhat moderated by warmer air holding more water vapor. -
Like now, if you have the $ to spend, you will get the care. I recommend that you plan to have the dollars.

Have a good one!

If they are readily accessible, it is not a good deal. If they are not, it is a bad deal, but it is the fault of the manufacturer, not the service tech.
