I would not say we are rushing, as a matter of fact, I think Bush has proven himself to be the opposite of the cowboy everyone claims he is. You may be correct that this will precipitate more attacks, but I doubt that abstaining from war would prevent them. New weapons in Iraq... Tic.. Toc.. Tic.. Toc....
flyingferret replied to rhino's topic in The Bonfire
Exactly we backed down 12 years ago instead of using the words "smite thee" Well lots of gratitude they have shown, huh? Seriously, do you really think that Saddam does not know what was intending by 'serious consequences'? And dont you think he also sees the ambiquity that we are fighting over? The laugh is at the world's expense. Bill if you gave Bush as much benefit of the doubt as you give Saddam he could be a patron saint. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
Also make sure you are using 80-pin cables, simply mistake but it gets made alot. Toms Hardware benchmarks revealed that the 8mb version was only very slightly faster, and then only on certain file transfers (which is why mine is a 2mb). So the difference should not be that much. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Perhaps you have heard of a little thing we like to call the American Revolution? You guys did not get it then, nor do I care if you get it now. Besides Tony Blair appears to be with us on this one. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

So you think human nature desires peace? It is human nature to leave alone what you cannot handle. The radicals of the world will not be detered because we offer to understand them! "If we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known that we are at all times ready for war." -George Washington The ancient Roman expression "if you want peace prepare for war" is from "Epitoma Rei Militaris," by Vegetius The purpose of all war is ultimately peace. --Saint Augustine And yes I think both those evils mentioned above were seeking peace. When you prove a formidable enemy, people do not attack you. Not because the like you, but because you have been proven in battle. Am I the only one that sees this point of military strategy? Please point out one major power in the world past or present that achieved that status without a dominant military. I maintain: "The ultimate goal of war is peace" and further contest that peace is impossible with war. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

I would like to see that succeed.... Alamo II me thinks But I see your point. However here is the issue as I see it, and I don't know anyway to candycoat this or make it politically correct: These are some mean bastards. They hate us and feel it is an act of glory to die will trying to bring us to 'justice.' How do you deal with that? Do you really think that is all because we built bases around the world? Personally, I could care less if we resorted to antique foreign policy, pulled all our 3rd-world bases and said "Let the french and the UN deal with them" They would still be killing each other like rats in a cage in 100 years. Because they are not peaceful people. They are very committed people that cannot compromise. Sooner or later with human nature, that will lead to killing. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Club replaced with country. If you own a country, and you have a band cause a fire that burns down your place and kills a hundred people, it's probably not your fault; it was the band. Blame them. If you rebuild it without sprinklers and have the same band play, and overcrowd it to the same degree, and there's another fire, is it still not your fault? Will the excuse "it was all the band's fault" work the second (or even third) time that 100 people die in your country? Or at some point are you morally obligated to learn how to not have fires in your country? Actually I think that is the point of going to war, to illustrate the concesquences of killing innocent people. "If you want peace, prepare for war" Peace is the ultimate goal of war. Unfortunately, people dont just all get along, because some selfish bastard always thinks he can outsmart everyone because he is greedy. I agree totally with Bill, although I think our ideas on the causes are 180 degrees off. The world has come to think that there is no retaliation for killing Americans because we care so much for the feelings of the third world. I think the perception is about to change, and I welcome it. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

And I suppose if we dont attack Iraq all the radical Muslims will forgive us of our evils? Besides, Bill if Iraq does not have Al-queda ties, how would it affect their decision at all, hmmm? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

I may see your point although, I think that openly perpetuating a stereotype of one's self limits the recourse against others who follow suit. But then again, I guess hookers are intimacy assistants. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
Amperage is what matters, in the case of a flyback, you have both amerage and voltage. It can and has killed people. Very bad idea! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

Not trying to open a can of worms here since I pointed out to mark early on, he might want to change. I think these offensive terms are very dated these days. I call a lot of my friends cr@ckers, and I know A LOT of african-americans (or whatever new fangled term is popular right now) that call each other n***ers. It all depends on your association with said people. But honestly, there are a lot of people these days that do not take them that seriously. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
Question about Iraq and Chemical/Biological weapon's
flyingferret replied to Rdutch's topic in The Bonfire
I dont have the time to look for links at work. But I believe there are two method of dealing with this. One method involves an explosive that burns so hot it vaporizes the toxin. The second involves an bomb strike that causes an implosion followed by intense heat the keeps the toxins in a smaller area. Just what I remember, there are probably links somewhere. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -

You have a point. I grew up hearing people like that called Right Wing Fundamentalist Conspirators, Holy Rollers, etc, etc. Of course I never liked it much, so that is not much of an excuse. Personally, I dont care what you call terrorist. Dirty f#%ing Tangos is fine with me. But....it is Sangiro's place....be careful!!! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -

New weapons in Iraq... Tic.. Toc.. Tic.. Toc....
flyingferret replied to rhino's topic in The Bonfire
Gawain thanks for the sensible link. I truly dont understand why every is so opposed to this. Ask 3 questions: 1. Did the UN pass resolution 1441 with a description of force to enforce it? 2. Has Iraq broken it? 3. Will all UN credibility disolve if they do not follow their own resolution? Unless you are an ostrich in the sand, all of these answers are yes. If the most peaceful of persons has to admit that the more news that comes out further implicates the disregard for 1441. Bill: THINK, MAN! This nation is testing/have tested a delivery platform for chem/bio weapons? Do you want those at his discretion? The world already decided no. It simply a matter of following a resolution already passed. We do not follow it, all future UN resolutions are worthless. As for the french, I dont think they are scared, it is just their own interests. I would bet that as we march into Iraq, we are gonna find a lot of things labeled "Made in France/Germany/Russia" -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. -
