  1. Stop the presses! I guess war is the only way to serve your country. For me this is the same as if a police chopper went down. I think your behavior is incredibly rude. I was tempting to not even answer. I would prefer to speak peace to those that passed. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  2. Pretty intense, although I bet that is really really pushing the limits for the gear. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  3. I went and listened to "Mogadisho Blues" from the Black Hawk Down soundtrack for these soldiers that gave their lives training to protect me. Thanks and Blue Skies! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  4. Will post when I can, it is getting assembled. Here is one before I had options added -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  5. WOW...well said Michele. I don't think there is anything more to add to this thread. I am spent. Nice words. You should try programming, your logic works pretty well. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  6. Pretty cool one here, that I had never heard of http://www.aviationpics.de/preview/hc1det207.jpg Although the caption is slightly misleading, it sounds like we dumped (5 is what I have heard) South Vietnamese Hueys off the Midway during the evacuation to make room for our own birds. http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0005/ch8.htm -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  7. Even Blix says he is in non-compliance. Who would you trust? Blix is there and has the info. We are not debating compliance, but rather what to do about it. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  8. Me thinks Libya has had personal experience with US ordinance

  13. Very insightful, but that has to be mainly royalty/rich? Surely the average citizen does not live like that? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  14. Perhaps they are synonyms? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  15. Yeah, behind enemy lines was the same way. The dialog was just laughable. It was like they painted a picture of what they though a caring military would or something. It was just retarded, Tears of the Sun's plot looked much the same. Instead watch: Das Boot The Great Escape Guns of Navarone Bat21 Blackhawk Down
  16. WARNING: if french jokes offend you, then change the punch line to some other group you find funny, ie lawyers, etc. A Bunny & A Snake Once upon a time (allegedly) in a nice little forest, there lived an orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By a surprising coincidence, both were blind from birth. One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit. "Oh, my," said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I've been blind since birth, so, I can't see where I'm going. In fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am." "It's quite OK," replied the snake. "Actually, my story is much the same as yours. I, too, have been blind since birth, and also never knew my mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you, and work out what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you." "Oh, that would be wonderful" replied the bunny. So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, "Well, you're covered with soft fur; you have really long ears; your nose twitches; and you have a soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit." "Oh, thank you! Thank you," cried the bunny, in obvious excitement. The bunny suggested to the snake, "Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw, and help you the same way that you've helped me." So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, "Well, you're smooth and slippery, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone and no balls. I'd say you must be French". -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  17. NacMac, at least you have a highest bidder. Haliburton is huge anyway, a lot of Texans have worked for them at one point. Of course I am sure Bill has some rebuttal for this news...peace reigns and all that. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  18. Yeah there was a lot of negative press floating in the back channels about XXX, indicating that the director was at fault, but I guess nothing ever came of it? Edit:I did not realize someone died making this movie. Blue Ones! But it looks pretty unrealistic anyway, just like Behind Enemy Lines -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  19. Dude, when do you get yours? I got mine on Friday and it is so freaking pimp, I love it!!! -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  20. I am only a young guy, 23 and have about 200 jumps. I have 2 jumps on a '75 mk.1 PC and I really dig them. Weather permitting I would gladly jump it again. My crabbing skills are not great, but 'steering' was such a different feeling. I think the jumps were very neat just for nostalgia, getting to take part in what led to the sport I enjoy. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  21. I agree. I think this is a huge game of poker with the entire future at stake. I think GWB is standing by his principles, making calm decisions and sticking by them. In 6 months I think it will be very very interesting to look back and see who was on our side. And I think GWB knows this very well when he is letting everyone go on record. GWB is a very smart man, and is surrounded by a smart cabinet. (Bill will very obviously disagree here) I have seen his work in state government. I fully believe he and his staff have evaluated all the options and are proceeding with the best course for the country. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  22. Has he said that? I have no idea my personal feeling was that he did not like him any more than we did, but that his job did not allow him to make policy. In theory yes. However, I think the damage was done weeks ago. He has had weeks to prepare forces. Anything he wants to deploy is being done behind the scenes. Unfortunately, it was necessary to give him the time to do this, otherwise public outcry would have been even worse. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  23. Very well said. A show of force is a deterant, deterants generate peace. Bill, as for your notions about the world could "adopt such a system" Are you truly that naive? Most of the world does not think like us, either me or you. Do you truly believe that the majority of people in the middle east would embrace a system of democracy like ours and peacefully coexist? If so, you seriously need to do some history reading rather than forum reading. We are talking different cultures here. Ask anyone that has lived in the Middle East. I have not heard any pleasant stories that I recall. The middle eastern view of life is totally different than yours. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  24. Time changes all things. A number of weeks ago Blix did not even know these things existed. What might he know in more time? I seriously doubt it is any better. Each day this goes on, I am more proud of my vote back in Nov. 2000. -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
  25. So bill, assuming we do that, do you think Saddam would cooperate? -- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
